I deleted that post, will repost it without quoting David's post, to keep it from expanding beyond the page.
Here it is, I hope.
Shoot, I'll have to re-type.
I had merely put "radical islam" into my search bar. Thats what I got. sorry. Will retype.

From my Google search:
Radical Islam, or Islamist extremism...views Islam as a total system ruling both social and political life, overriding man made laws. While some branches are non-violent, violent Jihadists often use terrorism to achieve their goals. [what we fear]
Core Characteristics and Beliefs
- Political supremacy: Based on the conviction that Islam should govern the state and society, not just private life.
- Rejection of Modernity: Opposes Western values, democratice systems, and secular regimes, often viewing them as corrupt.
- Goal of global order: Establish a political order mandated by God, often viewed as bringing the world under Islamic rule.
- Ideological roots: Foundation by modern militant groups.
Common Strategies and Movements
- Violent Jihadism: Utilizes terror, civilian targeting, and suicide bombings. [what we generally think/fear]
- Examples of Groups: Organizations often cited include al-Qaeda, the Islamic State, Hezbollah, and Palestinian Islamic Jihad.
Context and Interpretation
- Distinction from Islam: The FBI notes that Islamic radicalization is not endemic, but a distinct phenomenon.
- Varied Interpretations: The term "radical Islam" can span from peaceful to violent anti-Western fanatics.
- Regional focus: Much of its modern evolution is a response to foreign domination and the perceived failures of modern Arab states.

Apparently my query was not clear enough for Google... Thanks for the reply.

Probably too many words, conditions in your query. I've found that simpler often gets the job done better. Thanks for readiing mine.

It's real simple. Your wording was poor.
First of all, you should have said "the differences between," not "the differences in." Then you should have realized that "radical" is a SUBJECTIVE term, and Google isn't going to express an opinion for you.
Just for balance, you might ask Google to define "radical Christianity."

I'll guess that Alan West was equating Islamic beliefs as those of radical Islam. Which is incorrect, I believe. I'm no scholar on the subject, so anyone feel free to educate me.

You must have seen, over recent years, that MAGA absolutely loves to paste the term "radical" onto anything they disapprove of. Radical Islam, radical liberals, radical pizza--THEY AM ALL BAD.
So that's what that awful pig West is doing here. He hates Islam, so he pasted the standard pejorative label "radical" into it. THEN--and this is the really dishonorable trick--he equates ALL Islam with the "radical" part of it.
Candy, I've always been amused and appalled by how much the proponents of Christianity and Islam hate each other. Aren't the two religions very similar? Different prophets. Big deal!
Kevin, they are said to be the two largest in the world, Islam (believers are called Muslim) and Christianity. Both monotheistic (one God). Tenets similar.
Actually, Kevin, I went back and viewed it again. Mr. West didn't use the word "radical", at least not on the part David posted. Which makes me wonder if West knows the difference, or believes they are one and the same.

I didn't look at David's shit--I never do. I was reacting to his stupid, hateful thread title. This clown West apparently has an irrational fear/hatred of Islam, and David had to pile on with his ridiculous RADICAL RADICAL RADICAL bleat--as I said, MAGA absolutely LUVVVVVS to call anything they don't like "radical." Radical radical radical radical radical. And fallopian.
I'm well aware that they are the two largest religions, and that their belief systems and tenets are the same. That's why David and this guy West should be very, very afraid--we have millions of MOOZELIMS right here in this country!! EEEEEEEEK!!!!! And they're all radicals and terrorists! And radicals!
I don't like bigotry in any form, and while I'm an atheist, I still detest religious bigotry. Every group of more than, say, a dozen people has some crazies in it. There are definitely nutso Islamic terrorists. There are also nutso Christian terrorists. Should we judge everyone by what a member or members of their group do?
It would be a better world if there was no religion at all, but it still would be an improvement if mankind didn't tear out the page in the Bible or the Koran that says "love one another" and wipe its ass with it.
