The weapons and ammo are far easier to get in conservative shitholes, er, states. Most of those red swamps, you don't need to supply ID, get a background check, wait five minutes, or prove that you're not a violent nutcase. When at my Indiana pub today, probably a half dozen will have a concealed firearm.   None of these Republican male and female voters are criminals.  While I've seen many pull out a gun to show a friend, I've never watched or heard of a gun upholstered for any other reason.  If a robber tried to hold up the place, it wouldn't end we'll for the Democrat voting criminal.  He'd leave in handcuffs or better yet, a bag.

I know that a major part of gun love is the stop-the-bad-guys fantasy. But the truth is, if you don't have extensive special training, you won't know how to use a gun in a crisis situation--including, of course, when to NOT use it--and you won't be able to hit anything more than five feet away.
