I wish him well. It turns out taking a great QB #1 and putting him behind a porous offensive line for the first several years of his career isn't a winning formula. Who would have thunk? I think the Colts might be the next Clevland Browns.

Somehow, I can't feel sorry for a guy who got to be an NFL quarterback and earned roughly $50 million in seven years. He'll struggle on somehow.
Colin Kaepernick is the guy I feel sorry for. His protests were ill-advised, but they shouldn't have cost him his job.
Wish Luck nothing but the best on his next endeavor.
Sorry for Kapernick? What for being a cancer in the locker room? He had 1 very good year and the rest not so much. See, what you witnessed is defensive coaches finding weakness and very rapidly. That sort of thing happens to a one deminsional QB.
pretty high price tag for a bench warmer!
Being an nfl QB is a death sentence. Brett Favre is now struggling with brain damage resulting from his concussions.
A typical 350 pound lineman can run faster than the best sprinter in your high school. There’s no amount of padding that can protect someone from being blindsided by that.
I love the game and am an avid watcher..and live in Indianapolis. The Colts will officially suck now but Luck made the right decision. Take the money and run. Season ticket holders will likely be pissed.
Owner, Jim Irsay, just gave Luck about $24 million that he didn't have to.............with no strings attached. Irsay likely believes that Luck will heal and eventually reconsider his retirement decision. If Luck comes back, it'll be a year or two from now.
Lewie, once again you come off as jealous. That's a sad way to go through life.
Poor old DonDiego asks: "What are the odds ?"
And Forbes responds:
***** quote *****
Prior to Luck’s surprise retirement announce, the Colts were hovering around +1600 (or 16-1, which would return $16 for every $1 risked) to win Super Bowl LIV, odds that implied a chance of approximately 6% that they would raise a banner. Once news spread that the 29-year-old signal-caller would be hanging up his cleats, sportsbooks quickly reacted by adjusting their championship lines and removed Indianapolis from the upper echelon of title contenders for the upcoming campaign. The team plummeted to 50-1, dropping it into a longshot category alongside peers like the Oakland Raiders and Tennessee Titans.
Those weren’t the only odds that shifted due to Luck’s decision to leave the NFL behind, as the Colts also saw their projected win total for the 2019 season fall from 9.5 to 6.5. They were the odds-on favorite to win the AFC South at even money, but now find themselves with the worst odds of any team in the division at +450, well behind the new favorite Houston Texans at +175. Unsurprisingly their chances at claiming a conference title are also in the dumps, shifting all the way from 8-1 down to 25-1. It’s now looking unlikely that Indianapolis even makes the postseason, with their playoff odds moving from -200 (wager $2 to win $1 on a Colts playoff berth) to +400, a 46.7% drop in implied probability.

The odds for Week 1 at LAChargers went from +3 to +7.5.
DonDiego feels bad for the Colts fans who made their bets early.
I'm a Hoosier, and a Colt's fan who's glad that Luck announced his retirement prior to my Thursday trip to Vegas. I was going to bet the over on 9.5 wins.
The sad part was hearing fans boo him while he was walking off the field Saturday.
There's some rumors that this decision was already made before the draft and that management has known about it for some time. Give that as much creedance as rumors deserve.
If thats true it might lead to a pretty nasty confrontation from people who bought their tickets between then and now - especially season tickets.
In any event it looks like I'll be rooting for my original home team instead of my adopted one. Go Bills !
Since this is a gambling (and radical conservative ravings) site, one thing that comes to mind is the volatility of futures bets--it seems that every year something happens to one or more teams that drastically changes a team's prospects, like major trades, injuries, etc. You can benefit or get hurt by those changes if you have an existing bet when those changes occur.
And yeah, in a way, a season ticket is a futures bet. You buy a season ticket on the assumption that you'll be able to watch George Golden God play and you find out that Mortimer Snerd will actually be the team's starting QB.
