Another Domino falls Jenna Ellis Please Guilty Agrees To Testify Against Trump

Pled to a felony, 5 years probation, fines and community service. Agreed to testify against Trump and other defendants. By the time it is all said and done, I wouldn't be surprised if it's just Trump, Rudy, Eastman and Meadows at the defense table.

For those keeping score Fani is 4-0 now.

The rats are leaving the sinking ship. But they're getting some pretty nice softball sentences, considering their crimes were treason plus a buffet of other serious offenses. However, I get the strategy. Make plea deals to make sure you can fry the biggest fish when the time comes. Trump has to be disappointed that no one wants to take the fall for him.

I thought Meadows cut a deal.

He did, and apparently he has been working with the Feds for some time. The Ellis plea deal broke first yesterday so it got posted. With all the people taking deals it is going to be hard for Trump to pin this on somebody else.

Yep - all those people involved with the insurrection have admitted guilt.....but Honest Donny is innocent.  Its all those other people around him that were up to no good.

thats the Republican narrative and they are sticking to it.

He does have a certain low cunning, which enabled him to couch his orders to the insurrectionists in language that would afford him plausible deniability down the road. This ties into his current primary defense strategy, which is to claim that the murderous Capitol riot was a spontaneous event incited by his underlings and followers and that he never intended there to be any violence.

Of course, that's horseshit, and sounds like exactly what it is in court, but it does make for a viable defense. All he needs to do is sow doubt. And he was never explicit in his orders--as a court of law would interpret them. Of course, his lackeys would always scramble to fulfill his every wish, so his claims that they acted on their own are nonsense.

I still think that's he going to get off. There's just too many legal protections that he could still take advantage of. Not to mention the ongoing threat of ONE Trumpy juror in the gang. There's no way that the prosecution had enough peremptory challenges and challenges for cause to cleanse the jury of MAGAs.

It turns out Meadows didn't flip. He has narrow immunity regarding only on what he testifies about.
