Trump is calling for a 60 percent tariff on all Chinese goods and then 10 percent on goods produced in any other country on day one. Overnight we would be facing high double digit inflation. I dont want to pay the Trump tax. If you want to, I will tell you what. Let me know what you want to buy and I will buy it, mark it up 60% and sell it to you. That way you can preview Trump's economic plan.

Let's just put aside Boilerman's hypocrisy when it comes to his respect for Mitt Romney's opinions for a minute.
Point 1:
Republicans and Boilerman have spent the last 10 years slapping their knee in good humor about the liberal fantasy of a transition to EV vehicles. Now Boilerman and Trump want us to believe that transition can only happen with Republican leadership fending off the onslaught of Chinese imports. Hmmmm....Maybe EV vehicle policy is best left to the people whose energy policy can get beyond burning rocks.
Point 2:
Donald Trump took down that awful NAFTA deal put in place by Clinton and replaced it with his far superior version.....which allows for the Chinese manipulation of imports that Trump is now warning about. I guess he didnt think that legislation through very well...and somehow Trump's NAFTA law is Biden's fault. Good luck selling that bullshit.
Point 3: I agree China should not be allowed to dump their subsidized goods into US markets. When Obama tariffed those goods Republicans called it socialism. When Trump tariffed those goods Republicans called it fighting for America. And now we have Biden telling China they cant manipulate our people with Tik_Tok and Trump is suddenly against that. Maybe its best if we have people who are always tough on China - not just when they are in power.
Let's not pretend that Trump's anti-HEATHEN CHINEE rhetoric, which Boiler has eagerly grabbed onto like a calf sucking on its mother's teat, is anything but simple racism. Of course their government is authoritarian. But since when do we refuse to trade with authoritarian countries? It's historically been the single most effective way to keep tensions from boiling over--"When goods cross borders, armies do not."
We need their stuff. They need our stuff. It's that simple. Even if they ARE all slanty-eyed gooks, to use a phrase from Boiler's generation.

Over 20% of cars being sold in Mexico are producedin China. They are currently produced in China, but that's going to change as Chinese companies are building plants in Mexico. NAFTA, as now written, would allow China to ship cars to the US from Mexico tariff free. Trump will nix this, and sissy Biden will not.
I know enough about Kevin's news sources to understand why he knows nothing of China's plans to sell cars in the US. How would Kevin ever know where China plans to build these cars?

Tarrifs arent the issue with CHinese cars in America....letting Beijing have access to their operating systems is.
Biden doesnt want any Chinese cars in the UNited States whether they are tarrifed ot not. He called them a national security risk.
