another piece of legislation

Just bookmarking this post for when Jerry or somebody posts their weekly demand to list all of our cataonic president's accomplishments.

You can add yet another bill to that list which lowers Medicare drug costs,  limits out of pocket costs for senior healthcare, and a record investment in our energy future.

And its paid  by "funding the police"  (also known as the IRS) who will now have the resources to hold criminals like our former president accountable for cheating on their taxes.   And  also by closing some of the legal loop holes like carried interest.    And best of all it makes corporations have to pay a minimum of 15% income tax instead of the 0% a record number received  under the Republican "simpler / fairer" tax bill

It got kind of swept under the rug--in the midst of the general horror of the Trump presidency--just how badly the Trump tax giveaways crippled the federal government's finances. And of course, in order to somehow fund the resultant shortfall, the government had to borrow: to add to the deficit. You know how conservatives hate that. Except when the fucker who does it is orange.

But yeah, stupid Tommie-poo will tell us it was Biden's "handlers" that did this, Charles will tell us that the bill will actually cost forty-three squadillion dollars, and Jerry will point out that only old people who are about to die anyway need prescription drugs, so it's a waste of money. Boiler will babble about sweet yummy crude oil being put on his cornflakes, or something else utterly irrelevant. The usual responses from our conservitard gang will be just as we expect.

In the meantime, the Democrats are trying to actually make people's lives better, rather than fattening corporate America's already swollen bellies--that latter goal being the holy mission of the Republican party.
