Tom posted something true !    Lets give him credit - it doesnt happen often.

The coal problem in West Virginia isnt in so much in the price for utility bills - its more an issue of it scaring away people and business from moving there.       The cat is out of the bag for coal.    Just like cigarettes.    Everyone now knows how awful it is for your health.    And nobody wants to live there and get lung cancer.   As it stands nobody can afford their electric bills mainly because nobody has a job that pays enough to cover them.     You work as a school teacher in WV?  You're probably the wealthiest person in your neighborhood.

Its a real shame too because WV is a gorgeous state.   I drive through it every time I visit family in North Carolina.    The entire state looks like Asheville NC.     UWV and Marshall are both good schools that provide a nice stream of edcuated students that quickly go to other states upon graduation.

Their government caters to coal at the penalty of losing all other forms of economic expansion.   Thats really stupid because the coal mines keep employing fewer people as technology replaces their jobs....and demand for coal keeps shrinking globally.

Is that a higher rate or a lower rate the they've been? The point isn't the national average the point is Trump said he would lower rates in 12 to 28 months.

I assume you didn't read the article, it can be painful for MAGA to read things like this.

Apparently you conviently OVERLOOKED the part wher President Trump said 12 to 28 months - we are currently in the 15-16 month of his prsidency. What is "painfull" is having to read your asinine comments....

But WV is one of the poorest states in the union, so the antiquated coal-generated power costs the average resident a much higher proportion of their income than in the rest of the US. That was the point. Not surprised that you came up with a dumb Tom-stat.

And what is "he" doing to cut rates? What does he plan to do?

Correction, I made a typo on my phone, the headline is correct. Trump said 12 to 18 months.

The salient point is that he just said he would do that while having no plans of any sort to make it happen. And he's done absolutely nothing since.

In fact, he's done a number of (stupid) things that have increased energy prices, like his moronic Turdiffs and his evil little war.

But let's give him the time that Millerscum, etc. have bleated to us that he needs. The deadline is July 20 of this year. He promised that he would lower energy prices by then. Let's see if on that date, energy prices are lower than they were on 1/20/25.
