West Virginia is like a state that relied on building and selling horse buggies in 1910 and instead of waking up to reality, invested all its resources into expanding that industry. With predictable results.
I feel sorry for the few sensible people (Democrats) who have been dragged along with the bozos by this tidal wave of idiocy. The conservative foolhards who have dominated the state for decades deserve no sympathy, and because that domination will continue, the state will always be a poverty-ridden cesspool from an economic and social standpoint.
It is indeed a beautiful place, though. How about we move everybody to western Kansas and turn the place into a national park?
