And I don't say that lightly! I've been listening to classical music and attending concerts since I was four years old. This piece, "The Lark Ascending," was written by Ralph Vaughn Williams, a British composer from the early 20th century. He wrote it from 1914 to 1918--he began it, but the Great War started and he volunteered to be an ambulance driver and didn't get to finish it until the war was over.
This is what I listen to when I need some peace. It's an antidote for a bad day. I hope that others enjoy it the same way I do. BTW, if you've never heard of Vaughn Williams--just about all of his compositions are as beautiful and engaging as this one.
