Yes, I remember when the Republican party, though outdated and out of touch with the world, at least had a moral center. Even the Bible-thumper faction sincerely believed in what they preached. And while conservatism is inherently stupid (its central tenet is that change is bad), the fear that made people think that way was at least understandable. Now, they've mutated into the RepubliQ, a wackadoodle gang of addled conspiracy theorists that hates democracy and wants to kill everyone who isn't white.
