It's stunning that people still believe that the election was stolen, in my mind there are only two options. Trump and the right wing media lied about the election being stolen or the libs and Democrats are so smart and cunning that the cons and Republicans know what they're doing and how they're doing but are completely powerless to stop it.
Really though it's just a lie made up by Trump and the low info MAGA who believe the lies even when Fox News admitted they lied about it in their news coverage. As well as countless former Trump adminastration members who've come out and said it's a lie. It would be funny if it wasn't so important.
MAGA can never take responsibilty for being wrong and so ill-informed, and when you show them logically that they are mistaken they all go back to the same talking points. "What about Hunter?", "Hilary did it too!", and "They've weaponized the DOJ, FBI, DOD, SCOTUS", and whatever law enforcement agency they can think of.

Maz, I have a theory on why the "stolen election" and other MAGA lies are so persistent. It's the Cons being confronted with cognitive dissonance. It happens when a person has a firmly held belief, but factual evidence disproves that belief. The person holding that discredited belief has two choices: 1. "Well, I guess I was wrong." 2. "It's all FAKE NOOZE." Turns out that 2., a denial of reality, is so much less painful that many make that their choice, nutso as that may seem,
You can find cognitive dissonance deeply rooted in all sorts of human behavior, such as, "He's not really dead," a claim that is at the root of all organized religion.
