By the way, the A's new Vegas stadium construction is well underway.  Lots of folks claimed that this would never happen.  Here's the contruction webcam.  https://ballparkexperience.athletics.com/ballparkcam

Bally's also announced their plans for the adjacent casino and entertainment venues.  https://news.google.com/read/CBMif0FVX3lxTE9iMXZZNi1kMU5uMml5YjJtbm1NVWtYZXM1cDlPUF95bFJvckVRNTV0Zjd5QTVKMVlKaENPbmNRMDkycGlWOXBFNlJZY0tYQlphSS1UeVpHelFIcjMyMVd6bnFMZTMtODhnTnlJSGQxVHNibXdGTlpfMUpZV2E3bUE?hl=en-US&gl=US&ceid=US%3Aen

I'm sure this a mistake at Fanduel...other sites have the Brewers as the heavy favorite, which makes more sense.

You misread it. That price was for the run line +1.5, Cubs. The money line for the Cubs has been hovering around +128.

That, by the way, means that the Brewers aren't a "heavy" favorite. The book still expects the Cubs to win about 42% of the time, based on that price.

This is a wonderful topic/thread!  I'm enjoying it a lot.  Carry on, fellas.

Do you have a team you're rooting for?

No, but I like the 'lore' of the game.  I was glued to the TV during the 'season of Reggie' you wrote about.  And I was in Las Vegas when an earthquake stopped a World Series game in SF, wasn't it?  We were playing VP, actually felt the very very mild tremor, looked at each other, "What was that."  A friend was there, she told about the snafu of everybody running to get out of the stadium and hours to get home with roads blocked, etc.  Fun stuff.

Go Cubs!

Yanks/Jays series will be interesting as the Yanks finished in a tie but lost on the tiebreaker

My college roommate, whose son is a pitcher for the Yankees, was at that WS game with his dad.  When I saw him back at school, he said he thought they were goners when that earthquake hit.

And the Yanks have some bulletin board material when one of the Jays announcers called the Yankees, "Not a very good team, despite their record."

Judge needs to produce..as somebody else noted. He's due in the playoffs.
