Being Dismissive

Being dismissive means showing indifference, scorn, or a lack of respect by disregarding, rejecting, or belittling someone's thoughts, feelings, or opinions. It involves acting as if a person or idea is unimportant, unworthy of consideration, or beneath notice, often characterized by brushing someone off, using condescending gestures, or ignoring them.

Who cares about your copied and pasted definition?

Maybe there is lesson there David?

Coming out of the gate with liar, liar and so on is very dismissive.  And then you post opinion pieces and they aren't even an opinion piece from the original author.

Often they are a political activist's summary of someone else's opinion article. Then you declare how some random person's  opinion of an opinion article is the absolute truth. Of course, posts like that are going to be dismissed by most folks because they aren't credible.

So kinda like when you comment in people's threads without even watching the video or reading the article they post?

I like this I heard somewhere, about public speaking:  Tell it like you see it, not "how it is."

But be sure to label how you see it as how it actually is. Take an opinion you agree with and stridently call it DA TROOTY TROOT and FACTY FACTS. Insult and call "delusional" anyone who disagrees.

Miller does that constantly and is now bawling that people aren't giving him the respect he thinks he deserves.

How's this, David?

Hmmm, kinda dismissive.

Texas is in serious danger of flooding with David's tears.
