"If we open the borders"...as if the borders are presently (and effectively) closed? Is Bernie double talking...agreeing with Trump (i.e. build a wall) without saying so? Me thinks this is a good example of obfuscation. Has me scratching my head.

There are no 2020 Democratic Presidential candidates that advocate for an open border. I think Don Diego watches too much Fox News.
I guess if you dont support stripping babies out of their mothers' arms you are for open borders. If you dont make the phrase "illegal immigrant" synonymous with "MS-13" then you are for open borders. If you dont suport building a 40 foot concrete wall with machine gun turrets then you are for open borders. And if you support giving a pathway to citizenship to the housekeeper at Mara-Lago and her kids that have lived in the US for 15 years then you are for open borders.

Unlike Republicans and their secret empty box for healthcare reform, Democrats have a documented plan for their immigration overhaul which received bi-partisan support and passed the Senate's super majority standards. Its a shame John BOehner and Paul Ryan refused to let it go to a vote in the House where it reportedly had enough votes to pass...

Thats right, Tom. Democrats dont have a plan to address the fictional number you made up and posted (which even if true would be half as many that came over monthly two decades ago).
Trump's policy of seperating babies and mothers has not stemmed the "crisis" you speak of. And now he wants to remove foreign aid to the countries whose populations are coming.....and the thinking there is less aid to those countries will somehow improve the conditions there and result in less migration?
Not only is the president a sociopath - but he's also quite dumb.
