But seriously...what makes you think he's all that rich? Certainly, senators are paid well, but not lavishly. And before he attended college, his family was middle- to lower-middle-class; they lived in an apartment and his father was often out of work. So there was no inheritance to speak of.
His joint income (with his wife) in 2021 was $610,702. Pretty good, of course, but $250,000 of it was his Presidential salary, while some additional amount was his Senate pension. So he doesn't have a tremendous amount of wealth (otherwise there would be more investment income).
Frankly, if some RepubliQ had had the power and influence he's had in the last 50 years, that dude would be absolutely rolling in it. Biden didn't use his to make a bundle.
I stand corrected on that. I just read a Forbes article on his net worth. It isn't really all that much for what he has made the last 5-7 years.
