It is just the standard liberal giveaway.  It is play #1 in the playbook.  I don't like that colleges cost this much $ either but these people had no problem grabbing the loans then.

Whose playbook is it to give billions of  others peoples' money to farmers?  Or give 100's of billions in tax amnesty to corporations with foreign profits?

I guess its only welfare when social workers, teachers, and nurses get help.      Or when David MIller gets a check.

I'll lay 1000-1 that neither you, nor Millerscum, nor all the other conservitards bleating about this know the details, and the reason behind the debt cancellations.

Your phrase "liberal giveaway" is exactly incorrect, as most of those being offered debt forgiveness took out their loans during the Dubya administration. Didya know dat, Jerry?

They're being offered forgiveness because part of the contracts they signed was a method to apply for that forgiveness if they worked in certain professions, or if their income over the prior decades had been low enough. The Trump "administration" (LOL) fucked all that up by closing the office that was supposed to process those forgiveness applications. Apparently, it wasn't even on purpose--it was just a stupid Trump mistake.

So this is just the US living up to contracts drafted decades ago. Nothing particularly "liberal" about honoring agreements, is there?

Well, come to think of it, there's definitely something conservitard about NOT honoring them, given who that gang elected.

Thanks for posting the article, David.  Much appreciated.

My wife has been paying on her student loans for over 20 years and is now going to have the last little bit forgiven.  Hell, working in the foster care industry as a social worker and as a teacher in schools with high EL populations and low SES, she's earned the opportunity to have it paid off.  She's also the first person in her family to go to college, so I'm glad she is receiving this.

tRump pays zero income tax to the U.S. government.

But pays the Chinese government income tax.

How does that make you feel?

How does it make me feel when you post another load of lying liberal bullshit? - There is nothing to feel for what you post is always the same shit - unfounded, twisted and a lie. If you ever posted the truth the feeling I would have would be "shock".

It's a delicate issue. On the one hand, relieving student loan burdens can save people from financial ruin and help stimulate our economy, but it raises valid concerns about fairness to those who struggled to pay off their loans or never took them. Taxpayer concerns are valid, shaping a balanced state budget is an ongoing battle. We can't overlook, though, the potential long-term economic benefits of a more financially stable and educated populace. In managing debt, I've also found that exploring all available resources is crucial. For instance, I count on my San Diego bankruptcy lawyer to help navigate the legal landscape, ensuring I don't spiral into unmanageable debt. His insights have been invaluable in helping me stay financially stable, and I guess that's what those who have debts should do.
