The Foreign Emoluments Clause is a provision in Article I, Section 9, Clause 8 of the United States Constitution, that prohibits the federal government from granting titles of nobility, and restricts members of the federal government from receiving gifts, emoluments, offices or titles from foreign states and monarchies without the consent of the United States Congress. The Trump Hotel was planned long before he ran for president & is an ongoing business.  The above clause says nothing about a private enterprise.

Thank you for spelling out the emoluments clause to which president Trump violated by receiving 3.7 million dollars from foreign governments during his tenure. (nevermind the other millions he took from domestic special interest groups)   The fact that it was an established business is irrelevant and not made an exception for anywhere in the Constituion.   You completely pulled that out of your ass.  Jimmy Carter had to forfeit his ongoing business (peanut farm ) upon taking office because he had a Congress that actually took the Constituion seriously.    

As to your third paragraph -  Who cares and what business is it of Congress?   Hunter Biden is not a member of the Federal Government and can get paid a salary by any entity for any reason.   What law are accussing him of breaking?   And since you're clearly ok with foreign countries loading up Trump by 37 times the amount why should anyone attempt to take you seriously?
