Perhaps, but you have to apply the "Gaetz said this" filter. As in, 99% chance it was bullshit.
Of course, all he was doing was attacking McCarthy. Gaetz approves of impeaching Biden. He just didn't like all the voting and following proper procedure and stuff. He wanted the process to be streamlined: "Just ask the Mega MAGAs what to do."
I mean, even an idiot--which Gaetz is not--could tell that the Biden impeachment effort was doomed from
the start (this statement does not include David Miller, who is a special kind of idiot). McCarthy didn't want it at all. But saying so, or even hinting so, lost him points with the Nutjob Caucus big time.
