Biden succeeds again! My ongoing coverage of USA oil

The oil and gas exploration companies want the price of a barrel of oil to be between $65 and $95.  They're very good at doing that.

If they are so good at it then why isn't oil $95?

Wait.  This must scare the shit out of you liberals.  Joe Biden's record oil production is going to kill the damn planet and kill us all because Global Warming, right?  RIGHT?.  Where's the liberal concern...the comdemnation of Biden's policies that are destroying the earth?   Well fact is we had record production in spite of Biden's best efforts to end fossil fuels not because of any action or policy his administration took..

Here are 200 ways the Democrats actually made it harder and more expensive to produce oil and gas.

200 Ways the Biden Administration and Democrats Have Made it Harder to Produce Oil & Gas - IER

If we had just stuck with Trump's policies, we'd not only greatly exceed current production and lower prices, we would be energy dominant in the world.  Because of Bidens war on fossil fuels, the oli consuming nations lined Putin's pockets to fund his Ukraine invasion and funded the Terror Regime in Iran instead of making Americans wealthy agian.  These anti US Energy policies will be reversed on Jan 20 and it can't come soon enough.

We already are "energy dominant" in the world, dumdum. We produce more, and have more capacity, than any other nation on earth.

Your post is insane MAGA babble, and not worthy of further discussion.

Because, stupid Tom, as Robert said, they want the price to be BETWEEN $65 and $95. They manipulate the price to manipulate demand. It's not always in their best interests to keep the price as high as possible.

The key, stupid Tom, is that the markets and the traditional forces of supply and demand have no influence on oil prices. Those are fixed, manipulated, and adjusted by the cartel. We pay what they want us to pay. Period.

If you had even an elementary understanding of business, you'd know that charging the highest price possible is not always the best way to make the most money. At $95 a barrel, demand would drop. So would sales.

Stupid Tom.

Here's the thread from 3 years ago where Tom and Boilerman said we couldnt drill more oil from existing leases for all the reasons Tom is listing now (even though we are now drilling more oil from existing leases).

This thread is a hoot !

Take a walk down memory lane and see how everything Tom and Boilerman said in 2022 was a complete barrel of bullshit.   History since has proved it.

It's not as if either of them will admit that they were (and are) full of shit. They're weasels with no honor.

Pj's thread from 3 years ago is the same as this.  Leases are not always used for a variety of reasons  By not allowing new leases the wells we are currently using will eventually run dry.

Then what?

Then (or well before then, actually), new leases will be issued.

DUHHHHHHHHHHH!

The Biden administration is and has been persuading/forcing the fossil fuel companies to use their existing wells to their full capacity instead of trying to get new leases on what might be more productive land. The thing is, stupid Tom, the goals of America and of the fossil fuel industry are radically different:

FF industry: Profit profit profit profit profit!

America: Use the leases/wells that you already have before digging around for new ones.

That will ultimately increase the available supply, forcing the fossil fuel companies to fully use the resources that they got from the American people on the cheap.

Biden's policies as shown by Charles' link makes it virtually impossible to explore & drill new leases.

The US is totally dependent on drawing the last bit of oil under existing leases.

What happens when those wells run bone dry?

Biden has lots of control on non-private land and little control elsewhere.  He's been a dick on national land.  Those who don't recognize this are uninformed idiots.

Oh, the poor, poor fossil fuel companies! Forced to the brink of bankruptcy by the evil Biden administration's policies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Boiler, you've pretty thoroughly lost this debate, so you would be better off just giving up.

Oh and just in cae you didn't know...what you call "national land" very often has higher and better uses than being explored and drilled for oil. I'm sure there's oil beneath Yellowstone Park somewhere, but I don't think we should try to extract it. Ditto for land that harbors wildlife, watersheds, or land that it just plain scenic and used for recreation.

Federal land drilling accounts for 10% of the US oil production so people who put it front and center are at best disengenous or at worst flat out lying.
