Everyone knows this. - The New York Post Editorial Board recently criticized the Secret Service for allegedly attempting to cover up the discovery of cocaine in the White House in 2022. The editorial claims that as soon as a uniformed officer found the drugs and notified then-Director Kim Cheatle, retaliatory actions ensued, starting with the officer being removed from the case. According to the Post, Secret Service leadership pressured forensic workers to stop DNA testing and avoid interviewing the hundreds of people with access to the area where the cocaine was found. Cheatle reportedly demanded agents destroy the evidence, clashing with subordinates who pointed out the agency's seven-year evidence retention policy. The Secret Service denies these allegations. The editorial further accuses Cheatle, referred to as “Kover-up Kim,” of focusing more on DEI (diversity, equity, and inclusion) initiatives than her actual duties. It also claims Cheatle retaliated against a black veteran agent who opposed the destruction of evidence, by denying him a promotion. -- https://mxmnews.com/article/ed0e1341-46a2-47e9-a4a6-8277fd529ec6
