Biden's three reforms

1) The No One Is Above the Law Constitutional amendment

2) Term limits for Supreme Court justices

3) A binding code of ethics for the Supreme Court

Now, there will be MUCH MAGA whining about this, and I fully expect Millerscum, stupid Tom, Boilerboob, and Angry Jerry to tell us why these are bad ideas, using their usual ineffable logic. But they can relax. None of these reforms will become law--the Republipigs have too much power to let them pass, and will retain enough to block them even if they get their clocks cleaned in November.

Biden knows this. So, what's the point? The actual object is to put it to the MAGAs. You object to/vote against the amendment? Why? Are you still harboring fantasies of serving in the royal court of Emperor Trump? No code of ethics for SCOTUS? Why not? You want plenty of clearance for Clarence?

Ask your MAGA friends/acquaintances/enemies about this. It'll be loads of jolly fun to see them twist themselves into pretzels to explain why these are bad ideas.

It is just easier to add more justices. You don't have to pass an amendment to do so. Call them McConnell seats. People really don't like the SC right now and will eagerly accept the changes.

Again, giving Biden credit for knowing something.  How Kevin.

Jerry you have to admit Joe still knows one thing. He knows how to punk Trump and the Republicans.

He knew he was going to withdraw from the race but he held off until after the RNC convention so Trump would pick someone as a VP that can't win in a close election. He even masterfully put out a couple of defiant statements that he wasn't dropping out during the RNC.

Trump and the entire Republican party leadership fell for it. Jerry, Joe is feeble and too slow to be President so what does that make the Republicans he outsmarted?

I also have to bring up Joe freeing the hostages.  Trump has said repeatedly that this is only something Trump could get done. Joe just punked his fat orange ass again.

Yeah, but it would take an act of Congress to do so. (I don't think the Senate would need to approve it.)

The only conceivable way this would happen is IF the Democrats regained control of the House and then IF all the Democrat Congresspersons signed on to the bill. I doubt that those things will happen. Therefore, such a bill would be as dead of a duck as the amendment, and would only serve the same purpose--to target the MAGAs.

After all, suppose they manage to add four justices, theoretically all of them liberal--and all four would have to be approved by the Senate, so the Democrats would have to have control of that as well and like in the House, nobody could break ranks. Then you theoretically get a 7-6 liberal majority. IF they all rule in lockstep--you know the conservative justices will--then maybe they can revive fair rulings.

All of this is no less unlikely than passing a Constitutional amendment.
