The Bloom IS Off the Rose

The trips are paid for - flight, room comps and free play, so, yes, I will probably take them. I will probably use the $2000 that my President will be gifting me to defray any additional costs.

Ain't welfare great?

remember this post next time you see David cry about people taking checks from the govt.

Cost of living isn't the same as inflation, idiot fuckhead.

He might want to wait on his trip planning. Republicans in both the House and Senate told him no dice on his new stimulus. Which also addresses Tom's point.  If costs aren't rising, why do we need a stimulus to offset high prices? And wouldn't a stimulus in this economy drive inflation even higher? David complained about high prices in Vegas but if there is a stimulus and everyone blows it on non-essential spending like David prices will just shoot up even more.

The truth is Biden had inflation under control at the end of his term and Trump enacted policies that kicked it off again but with a key difference. Wages went up during Biden's term while they have stagnated under Trump.  I also think it is cute Tom trusts Trump's numbers eventhough he fires anyone whose report doesn't produce numbers that make Trump look good.  As Trump says, the economy is booming, prices are at an all time low and there has never been a better economy . Anybody in the Trump administration that says otherwise is promptly fired.

Which is why you haven't EVER made a single post in the Sink without insulting someone.

It's kind of touching, stupid Tom's abiding faith in Trump and his willingness to believe anything he's fed. He doesn't just suck--he swallows.

Tom is a moron who runs to whatever irrelevant Tom-stat he thinks will "prove" his point. The REAL comparison to make is wage growth vs. inflation, if you want to examine cost of living.

The $2000 fantasy money bleat was something only suckers like David ever took seriously.

The REAL comparison to make is wage growth vs. inflation,

2025 inflation is 3% and wage growth is 4.9%; plus 1.9%

2025 USA Wage Growth The United States experienced a 4.86 percent increase in wages in August 2025 compared to the same month in the previous year.

And then there is biden a negative 3.2%

Looking at the duration of Joe Biden’s presidency and using the standard measures for comparing inflation and wages, inflation has increased 19.3% since January 2021 while wages have risen 16.1%

Can't trust ANY of your "stats" because you never provide an "actual and valid source" -- you are nothing but a trolling liar.

Today's Vegas has morphed into a 24/7 money grab - with no end in sight. Sad to say, after over 40 years of visiting Vegas, I can see the end of the tunnel. I have 3 trips scheduled - December, January and February. After that, I don't see much of Vegas in my future. I suspect that I am not the only one who feels this way.

Maybe with frequent visitors like you who stop going the casinos will start to adjust their marketing offers, but I still think there are some headwinds to that. The local places are more resilient to fewer visitors, so it would depend on how badly they need to fill their rooms. The problem is, like we all know is that they raise prices faster than they lower them.

I don't go as often as you do, and it's for 3 to 4 days at a time. I also always play the low odds games like BP and NSUD video poker, Blackjack, and I will play 3-card poker with my wife, but I don't bet the Pair Plus bet.

Just now I got an email from the Palms, where I have only played this year when I was there for the buffet coupon and a little bit in October for my birthday free play. The offer is for "rates starting at $49 plus a $20 reduced resort fee". I'm going in December already, but I clicked the link and they are sold out for December for this offer.

We shall see.

You call EVERYONE who doesn't think like you and doesn't buy your stupid Facebook shit a liar, so what you just said has no more meaning than a dog farting.
