"The Bloom is Off the Rose"

Uh-Oh.  Say it ain't so ! ! !

"The Feds are looking into possible campaign finance misdeeds by Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s chief of staff and lead rainmaker, who suddenly resigned Friday, federal sources told The Post.  The inquiry centers on two political action committees founded by Saikat Chakrabarti, the top aide who quit along with Ocasio-Cortez spokesman Corbin Trent, the sources said.

The two PACs being probed, Brand New Congress and Justice Democrats, were both set up by Chakrabarti to support progressive candidates across the country.

But they funneled more than $1-million in political donations into two private companies that Chakrabarti also incorporated and controlled, according to Federal Election Commission filings and a complaint filed in March with the regulatory agency."

The interested reader may wonder, "Why was this not discovered earlier?"

"Ahh-Hah !", says poor old DonDiego.  It seems some conservative jounalists opined on the potential for just such malfeasance several months ago.

On 27 February, 2019 the Independent Journal Review published an article: "AOC Paying Her Staff a 'Living Wage' Conveniently Allows Her Chief of Staff to Bury His Finances".

And the New York Post finally came through !

"Gather ye rosebuds while ye may

Old Time is still a-flying:

And this same flower that smiles to-day

To-morrow will be dying."

Well it sure is refreshing to see conservatives suddenly interested in prosecuting illegal campagin money laundering.    The president's attorney is currently in prison for that very crime - and the president himself has a signed check to prove his own co-sonpsirator status in that same crime.

I would opine such actions should be enough to remove anyone from their office (at least) whether it be a liberal congresswoamn from NY or a conservative hero in the WHite House.

I'm glad DonDIego is interested in pursuing the law in at least one of those instances.   But whats the point of having laws if we only selectively enforce them against our political opponents?

Once again PJ deflects from the topic so he can rant and spew his hatred for the President. The "check" PJ refrences has nothing to do with campaign money laundering.

As always, poor old DonDiego supports enforcement of all legal statutes on the books.

Ah, Don Diego has a real knack for being on top of breaking news. The article he linked to is dated March 5, 2019. I wonder why Don Diego chose today to recycle this old news?

The "check" (confused why David MIller put that word in quotes) is below...and note how it is signed to his lawyer and not the person his campaign was trying to keep quiet.

That is campaign money laundering.  That is what Trump's scumbag attourney is rotting in prison for currently.   And unless you think somone forged  Donny Pornstars signature wothout is knowledge then the president is guilty too.    Andit also disspells the lie Trump told about his lawyer paying off a pornstar with his own money out of the goodness of his heart.     (That was the best part of the whole scandal)

It could only be campaign money if the money was taken from funds raised for the campaign. It wasn't. As usual, you keep omitting the fact that Cohen did not go to trial for campaign money laundering. He pled guilty to crimes that he didn't commit.

This coming from those who assured us for 2.5 years that Trump colluded with Russia.  Come back when you have credability.
