And "kneeling to Trump's will" is exactly what she did; I liked the way she stood up for herself in those hearings when questioned by opponents, though...gave it right back to them.
Her evasiveness, outright lying, and slobbering fealty to her orange master during those hearings was nothing to be proud of. She wasn't standing up for herself; she was standing up for Trump, which is horribly shameful. And her "giving it right back"--she was a nasty bitch at the hearings.
Her recent fate shows, though, that kneeling and spreading your ass cheeks for Trump is no guarantee that you'll have a job tomorrow. That should give all of his lackeys pause.
I surmise that the above is the reason why so many Republipig House and Senate members are throwing in the towel rather than running for reelection. Loyalty to the Turd gets you nowhere.
