Breaking: Cohen To Plead Guilty And Going Away To Federal Prison

The news is reporting he is going away for 3-5 years and pleading guilty to numerous charges. There is supposed to be a news conference after he enters his plea.

Update:  Cohen implicates Trump in the plea.

Michael D. Cohen, President Trump’s former fixer, pleaded guilty on Tuesday to campaign finance and other charges. He made the extraordinary admission that he paid a pornographic actress “at the direction of the candidate,” referring to Mr. Trump, to secure her silence about an affair she said she had with Mr. Trump.

Mr. Cohen told a judge in United States District Court in Manhattan that the payment was “for the principal purpose of influencing the election” for president in 2016.

There is your undeniable proof that Trump committed crimes. He is officially an unindicted co-conspirator now.

Like I said it is a bad day for witches. It looks like the head of the coven is the next one up.

So Cohen didn’t pay off the hookers with his own money ?    Seems so hard to believe.  

Looks like our president isn’t just a scumbag - he’s a crook too.

There is the collision with Russia. If what Mr. Davis says is true (he has no reason to lie) Trump can be charged with computer hacking and maybe even treason. 

Obama knew about 2016 hacking of the DNC, as well as other meddling, and did NOTHING about it.

Brennan knew about 2016 Russian attempts to influence the 2016 election, and did NOTHING about it, except     admit his department had been spying on the Trump campaign "to protect him".

Comey knew about 2016 Russian attempts to influence the 2016 election, and did NOTHING about it.

Clapper knew about 2016 Russian attempts to influence the 2016 election, and did NOTHING about it.

Cohen's attorney CLAIMS the still private citizen, candidate, Trump knew about 2016 Russian attempts to influence the 2016 election. Perhaps he heard Obama say it happened/was happening. Glad to see you say "If what Mr. Davis says is true".

Trump had neither the power nor the authority to take action against 2016 Russian attempts to influence the 2016 election that Obama and the heads of his national security agencies ALL had. 

The difference is the hacking wasn't for Obama's benefit nor was he working with the hackers. Simply knowing Russians are trying to hack the DNC isn't a crime. Government officials know the Russians are still trying to interfere in our elections. Yesterday, there was a story out that the Russians have been trying to hack the never Trumpers.  Trump was working with the Russians to hack his opponent.  That is a crime.  That is the difference. 

Two Thoughts

i. At least Presidnt Trump kept Hillary out of the White House.

ii. Thank goodness for Michael R. Pence.

iii.  If it should turn out that Mr. Pence has been paying off hookers, . . . DonDiego will sh*t a br*ck !

Lawyers aren't allowed to misrepresent the facts of a case they are involved in. If they do, they face a suspension of their law license.

If Davis says Cohen can testify or provide other evidence Trump knew about the meeting and the hacking it means Cohen can provide those things.

You guys insisted Michael Avenatti was lying for months.  I provided the same argument why he wasn't back then.  Who ended up being right and who ended up being wrong?

The only time ethical lawyers misrepresent the facts of the case is when their client lies to them. That is why guys like Trump that have been around the legal block a few times often lie to their own lawyers.  They know once they tell them the truth their attorneys will be stuck with the truth.  A lot of criminal defense attorneys avoid asking clients straight up questions of their clients in meetings like did you do it preferring a fuzzy narrative. 

If an attorney knows his client is going to commit perjury in court, he is required to tell the client that he can't.  If the client insists, the attorney is required to withdraw from the case. 

If you read Cohen's charging papers, the government has the times and dates of meetings with Trump, documents and recordings.  That is just the stuff having to do with the felony payments to the women. I am sure Cohen kept the same records in regards to other things Trump was involved with like meeting with the Russians. 

The prosecution also has Flynn, Gates and a few others that can corroborate Cohen's testimony in regards to the Russians and hacking.  Just yesterday Flynn's sentencing was put off again.  Why do you think that is Tom? I suspect Flynn will provide the smoking gun to incriminate Kushner, Don Jr. and Trump himself in the hacking scheme.
