Another example of someone's "version of the truth" that is not the truth, or can't be known. What proof is there that Trump committed felonies to win? So far, none. There isn't even any proof that Cohen committed any felony that ties Trump to it. Cohen took a plea deal. Plea deals are offered and taken for lesser crimes and reduced sentences. A special investigation being undertaken by a whole team of Clinton supporting lawyers resulted in a plea deal accepted by a client on the advice of a long-time Clinton lawyer. It's quite likely that the prosecution told Cohen he could fight any or all of the charges and face what would amount to a life sentence for him, or agree to take a plea deal that might also involve him saying what ever the prosecutors want him to say in exchange for a sentence of around 5 years or less. The fraud charges alone could have put him away for a very long lime.  There was no trial, no judge, no jury. No proof that Trump committed any crime.

The proof is in the charging documents Bob.  In those Federal Prosecutors from SDNY say Trump directed Cohen to commit a felony. If you direct someone to commit a felony you are a co-conspirator and you can be charged with the same offense that the person you directed to commit the crime was.  The only reason Trump isn't facing an indictment right now is that he is a sitting President. You can bet that this charge will be listed in Mueller's final report to Congress or in a separate report from SDNY to Congress. If Congress doesn't take action, at the conclusion of his Presidency Trump (assuming Trump doesn't pardon himself) Trump will be charged with the same crime Cohen was.

Paying for a non-disclosure agreement is not a crime, period. Paying for a non-disclosure agreement with one's own money, not campaign funds, is not a crime, period.

The charges were never made during a trial in a court of law. The prosecutors never prosecuted the charges in a court of law. They never proved the charges in a court of law.

Again, there is no proof that Cohen committed crimes, and certainly no proof that Trump committed crimes. You keep saying Trump committed a crime. That is just your opinion. There is no proof. Unproven charges made against someone other than Trump are NOT proof that he committed a crime.

...a couple months ago, a few people in this forum claimed a sitting president could be indicted (obviously believing the MSM talking heads). Uh, nope!

The MSM talking point word of the day today was impeachment. It looks like they know as much about the laws concerning impeachment as they knew about the laws concerning the indictment of a sitting president...but they don't give a damn if they are wrong.

Since  Davis is backpedaling on last week's story, then according to Mark's logic he should be disbarred

He is backpedaling because Cohen has a sealed cooperation agreement with SDNY and Mueller. It is the only reason Cohen would have copped a plea to those charges. I suspect after the elections we will see quite a few bombs drop including the indictment of Don Jr, Eric and perhaps Kushner.

He isn't just "backpedaling". He's saying the "dossier" is bullshit. From last week:

“Lanny Davis, attorney for Michael Cohen, trashed the infamous Trump dossier, a document put together by former British spy Christopher Steele, in an interview with NBC's Chuck Todd on Wednesday.” This is Davis talking about the dossier’s assertion that Cohen was in Prague meeting with Russians: "Never ever in Prague. And the reason, just to let your viewers know what we're talking about, is that the dossier, the so-called dossier, mentions his name 14 times. One of which is a meeting with Russians in Prague. 14 times. False."

The basis for the Mueller probe and the FISA warrants is FAKE.
