The extreme conditions were a trifecta: prolonged drought, extremely high winds, and high temperatures  I don't think anyone knows the precise flash point of the Palisades fire.

Of course, it could also have been Proud Boys paid by Trump to start fires, just like he did to disrupt the BLM protests in Portland.

In the news conferences we were told that they were working on the cause weeks ago.  I thought an energy company was mentioned as one possible cause.

Finding out what caused the fires to start is important, but understanding why the destruction was so bad is where the real questions are that should be answered. With proper prevenative measures, the fires could and should have been quickly contained and managed - there were ignored warnings and prevenative measures not taken as funding was diverted and utilized elsewhere. As a result, thousands of homes have been destroyed, people died and thousands of lives have been negatively affected. This whole scenario should be a wake up call to all who live in California.

"Should be a wake up call".  Lots of slow learners out there.  California was a shining star and it's turning into a terd.
