California trying to keep oil and gas firms from leaving the state - Keep voting DemocRAT

Following 25 years of what oil and gas executives categorize as hostility to the industry, the state is now making a play to keep those companies from leaving. Californians are paying $4.65 for a gallon of regular gasoline while the national average is $3.17 per gallon, according to AAA.--There are 13 refineries currently in operation in the state. When Valero and Phillips 66 shut down theirs, that number will be down to 11. The state had 40 refineries in 1983.--Due to the exodus, California has had to rely on foreign sources for three quarters of its oil. --"The anti America CA democrats are delusional if they think that after decades of hammering on the oil industry that the oil industry is going to even consider staying around knowing that just as suddenly as they are pandering for them to stay they could do an about face and it would be the same old same old. Nope, the damage is done and two refineries are in the process of shutting down". Californians need to get ready for $10+ per gallon of gas.--https://www.foxbusiness.com/economy/california-trying-keep-oil-gas-firms-from-leaving-state

Companies that have $10 billion in a modern refinery will not be moving those facilities.  However, there will be no investment in new California refineries or refinery expansions moving forward.  In fact, there have been no new refineries or refinery expansions in California...well, forever.  There used to be many oil companies with HQ's in California, yet now there are zero.  My first employer, Union Oil of California was bought by California based Chevron some 30 ago.  Chevon began it's California HQ departure for Texas in 2024 (my pension is now safe).  They'll be completely gone in 2029.

California voters are doing a wonderful job of screwing themselves.  The clueless California voters see no correlation between their voting history and California energy prices skyrocketing.

California, or any other state, doesn't need refineries to keep prices under control. Note that most of the MAGA goober idiot shitkicker red states where gas is cheapest have little or no refining capacity.

California gas prices are high because of high demand. Also, the state is wealthy and its residents can afford to pay higher prices.

It ain't rocket science. California cities built outward, not upward, because of the car culture there and the simple fact that even now, gas is affordable to most residents. Refined gasoline will always arrive via a number of methods to serve demand.

Kevin, what is the definition of boutique gasoline and who has it.  Kevin is living proof of the clueless Democrat.

You see, since the Kevin's don't understand California's energy problem, they continue to vote for compounding the problem.

There is no problem. Californians can pay prices shitkicker goobers can't, so the gas will always flow in their direction. Doesn't need to be refined in CA.

Your thinking is like Trump's: stupid and old-fashioned. You don't have to produce a commodity. You can buy it from someone else. It's called commerce and trade. Foreign concepts to you and the Turd, I know.

What is boutique gasoline and who uses it?  Kevin, why do California gasoline prices jump so dramatically when there is a California based refinery operation problem?
