California’s gas prices are roughly $2 higher per gallon than the national average, and families are feeling the pain at the pump every single day.

Hey Edslow - what do you have to say about this?  --- While the rest of the country benefits from increased domestic energy production, California remains trapped under Gavin Newsom’s radical green agenda of high taxes, strict regulations, and hostility toward traditional energy sources. The result is some of the highest fuel costs in the nation. Newsom’s policies — including aggressive mandates for electric vehicles, cap-and-trade programs, and heavy taxes on gasoline — have deliberately made driving more expensive for working families. Instead of focusing on affordable energy and practical solutions, California’s leadership prioritizes climate symbolism over the real struggles of its residents. This is governance by ideology, not results. Americans see the clear contrast between states that embrace energy freedom and those that punish it. California should serve as a warning, not a model. Strong leadership that unleashes American energy production brings down prices and strengthens our economy. Gasoline costs 50% more in the US than it did before the Iran war

AP New May 5, 2026

"The main reason drivers are paying more at the pump is because of the global energy crisis caused by the Iran war. "

"....... said Jim Krane, energy research fellow at Rice University’s Baker Institute. “The Trump administration decides they’re going to punish Iran, and try to put more pressure on Iran by blocking their exports, so of course that does put pressure on Iran, but also puts pressure on global oil prices and forces them up."

"And the effective closure of the Strait of Hormuz triggered the largest supply disruption in the history of oil markets, according to the The International Energy Agency, pushing oil prices as high as $112 a barrel in early April."

Trump is directly responsible for the current price of gas at the pump, not only in California and the US, but the world as well.

COVID wreaked havoc on the world economy, MAGA blamed Biden(haha), is Trump going to do the same thing?

What is happening NOW at the gas pump across America is temporary - what is and has happened in California ( the actual topic here ) is the current, long standing prices for gas in California caused by the DemocRAT governing of Newscum and the corrupt California DemocRATs.

I don't know about Trump, but Miller seems to blame California for just about everything.  Like California is the only state that sees high gas prices.  Hell, he probably blames California for the Iran War.

Man, I love the block feature.

I like pointing out the corrupt DemocRATs that you voted for as they destroy California.

More about DemocRAT spending in California --- 🚆 California’s Train To Nowhere Labeled ‘Most Wasteful Government Project in World History’ California is expensive. With state taxes as high as 13.3% for some earners and gas that’s more than $6 per gallon as of this writing, both are the most costly in the United States. At least as stress-inducing is the derisively-nicknamed “high-speed train to nowhere.” Originally funded in 2008, it was supposed to connect San Francisco and Los Angeles by 2020. Eighteen years later, the cost has ballooned from an original $33-$45 billion estimate to $231 billion. And the length has been scaled back to 171 miles, connecting Merced and Bakersfield instead. The California High-Speed Rail Authority (CHSRA) estimated the project’s first phase won’t be finished until 2032 — under the current plan. Senator Tony Strickland, vice chair of California’s Senate Transportation Committee, had some harsh words about the high-speed rail. “This is a project that will never be built, and everybody in this building knows this project will never be built for the people of California and we keep wasting billions of dollars at a time where we have budget deficits,” Strickland said. “I’ve been saying this for years now, but this is the most wasteful government project in probably world history.

Miller spent two years in prison in California. Pretty much soured him on that state.

Hey Edslow - which one of the scumbag DemocRATs will you be voting for as Governor? Here is a sample of the debate as the DemocRATs get raked over the coals --  https://www.facebook.com/watch?v=833972302591383
