Can anyone name a G-7 country that has a better economy right now than the US?

Sucks when America succeeds doesnt it?

The RepubliQ desperately want economic disaster--or at least, to be able to convince everyone that economic disaster is in progress or will happen soon. Of course, the reality is that America has done MUCH better under Democratic administrations.

This is where stupid Tommie-poo jumps in and tells us about Obama's first year, ignoring the other seven.

The government quietly erased 439,000 jobs through November 2023, a closer look at the numbers from the Bureau of Labor Statistics shows. That means its initial jobs results were inflated by 439,000 positions, and the job market is not as healthy as the government suggests. Since the government wiped out 439,000 jobs after the fact, the total percentage of jobs created by the government last year is even higher.

The big bad eeeevil gummint "wiped out" almost half a million jobs? Really? How? Did they call all those folks' bosses and demand that they be fired? And why did the eeeevil gummint do that?

Stupid Tom babbles.

3rd grade kevin, shows his poor reading skills again.

Monthly job creation stats are estimates due to incomplete data.  In this case the BLS downgraded the job numbers by 439,000 or about 40,000 per month.

kevin the economist should be aware of this.

"Quietly erased" -    you mean doing the same historical revisions they've done in every monthly jobs report for the last 50 years?      Even with the "nefarious revisions" America has added 2.7 million jobs in 2023.      (Thats double the annual rate of his predecessor).

But since Tom already embarrassed himself by pointing to Seden's economy as superior to ours this is really a discussion he isnt qualified to partake in.   Tom's understanding of economics is almost as abysmal as his understanding of climate science and pandemics.

Then "wiped out" is a childishly stupid and inaccurate phrase to describe a revision of those estimates. But PJ has already refuted and schooled you on this

1,000,000 million fewer people working today than Trumps pre covid employment.  Also, 5 million more living in America since then.

Do the math and don't fall for the "jobs created" and "unemployment" data.  The gold standard on reality is "US employment participate rate".  This number cuts through all of the bull shit.

Try again, Boilerman.   Better yet - answer the question posed by this thread.

All COVID jobs lost have been recovered.

Not only that  - it was the fastest job recovery from any recession in the last 40 years.

Nonsense. There are MORE people working now than there were just before covid hit. And calling it "Trump's" employment is, well...hilarious. Like he had diddly-fuck to do with it, good or bad.

A population increase of X doesn't mean X more people seeking employment. I'll let you stew on that to try to figure it out.

The US employment participation rate (Jesus, what a moron--you can't spell) is naturally declining due to the aging of the population. More and more people are retiring, but not dying. This means that the proportion of retired to working people is rising. Everybody but you understands this.

Idiot.
