My thoughts are with him and his family.

He's a rabid Trump lackey and supporter, a founding Tea Party member, and a right-wing fanatic. In addition, he's a climate change denier, pitched misinformation about covid in support of his master, and constantly barks about critical race theory. 

In short, he's an evil MAGA parrot. My thoughts are with the shooter, who must be very disappointed that Kirk survived.

This is going to get more prevalent. And not all the people who want to kill MAGAs are lousy shots.

Did you see that video? At the rate the blood was pumping out of his jugular, I don't see anyone surviving that and if they are lucky enough to survive that they are likely going to be a vegetable.

Everyone deserves the right to peacefully and safely speak their mind.     I don't agree with anything Kirk said.    I hope the shooter is found and prosecuted to the full extent of the law.   

According to him, his death was both prudent and rational. 

Yeah, but he went beyond that. In supporting his orange master's covid pseudo-treatments and vaccine denial, he was complicit in half a million deaths. In being a loud and mouthy climate denier, he was encouraging rather than preventing natural disasters that have killed and will kill thousands. And in being a loud and unapologetic racist, he spread hatred and division.

I agree that everyone has the right to speak their mind, even if what they say is evil and horrific. But when you say it in public, and people are hurt as a direct result...that crosses a line. Should he have been shot? No. Was his rhetoric legal? Yes. 

But he did get a response he should have expected. Preach hate and you just might receive it.

BTW, I would have thought you to be a defender of critical race theory.  Do you even know what that means?

My prayers are with Mr. Kirk's family.  I've never heard of him, but this is so unfair.

I knew that the likelihood of the dead guy being a Conservative was 90%.

Well at least it wasn't a school full of children again. BTW two kids were shot in a school shooting today.
