Chevron refinery explosion in California

The extent of the damage is unknown, 10% of California gasoline just disappeared.  For how long is unknown today.  Since California has it's unique gasoline requirements, California will be forced to import EVEN MORE gasoline.  There is not enough pipeline capacity to transport this material because California blocks pipeline construction.  Few non-California refineries are capable of producing California gasoline.  Watch and listen to California politicians complain about the huge gas price increases that their policies caused.  It's music to my ears.  If a second such explosion happens, there would be a gas shortage and prices would be over $10/gallon

That's a pretty big hit......we'll see how that really affects gas prices.  They will go up, that's for sure.  

At this point they're not sure how this will affect fuel production, but this refinery supplies 40% of the jet fuel for LAX and a fifth of the gas for So. Cal. 

Why do the MAGA posters on this site enjoy celebrating tragedies that happen in blue states? It makes me think you live in dreary places and only feel good about it when you can take pleasure in other people's misery.

Liberals in California have and continue to paint themselves into a corner on energy.  Few pipelines, no new refineries, crazy expensive solar and wind that the assured was almost free.  And let's not ignore the Boutique gasoline blend California uses.  The chucking come when the Liberal politicians and citizens complain about the ramifications of their vote.
