Make no mistake, that's exactly what some of you are. No control. No sense of manners. No respect for rules. We've already hit the point where it's taking too much of my staff's time to try to police your bickering and delete your rule-breaking posts. That's not good. But now it's to the point where it's taking my time, and that's not gonna happen. If you want to continue to participate here, you'll refrain from the vugarity and name calling. Those who don't will be banned, one-by-one, until there's no one left to argue with and that will be the end of the Kitchen Sink. Disregard this post and see what happens.

Also note that taking a gratuitous swipe at me or anyone else is the exact thing that Anthony does not want you to do.

On some level, you must understand those things.

EVERY meaningful discussion here quickly degenerates into a free-for-all of name-calling and insults. I don't think there's been a thread with completely civil discourse in it in the last five years.

Am I culpable? Yes. I respond to nastiness with equal nastiness. I shouldn't. I should realize that we have a number of folks here whose minds are completely made up--cast in cement--and furthermore, won't tolerate dissension from their point of view. They won't think any differently no matter what. Exercise in futility.

So I'll try to take it down a notch. I doubt very, very much whether we'll see a similar effort from anyone else, particularly the ones who LUVVVV to attack and insult me. If they do make such an effort, it'll last maybe 24 hours. I sincerely think they're incapable of civility.

But out of respect for Anthony's wishes, I'll turn the other cheek. I suppose it's possible that they'll learn to play nice...actually, naah.

(to David Miller) You understand perfectly well that Anthony was referring to attacks by posters on other posters. You've referred to Obama, Biden, Pelosi, Schumer, etc. etc. etc. with similar language. Holier-than-thou doesn't work for you.

Also, you're the only one here who routinely threatens other posters. Those threats are likely flaccid and inconsequential, but the language doesn't belong here or anywhere else. We don't want to express our opinions only to be threatened by some low-rent psychopath. The fact that people disagree with you fills you with rage. Control it.

Like we kinda sorta agreed, we all would do best to just ignore him. When you or I respond to his insults and name-calling, we demean ourselves. You and I and the others he attacks--and threatens---have to remind ourselves that he's inconsequential and not worth the trouble of a response.

I'll try to stick to that from now on.
