China has won the first battle in Trump's trade war.  China, South Korea and Japan have agreed to re-organize Asian trade with China taking the lead. So much winning!

Won't last as they will end up infighting over the tariffs they will implement on each other.

So you want China to win.  Makes sense.  Your TDS is showing.

Nope, we are seeing a once in a lifetime realignment of Global trade. Soon we will be as economically isolated as Russia and North Korea. Once countries start trading with new partners it is over for the US as a dominant economic force.

Oh, Canada and Germany just announced a new trade agreement. So much more winning!

BTW: Seeing how Trump applied his tarrifs to uninhabited islands, don't you think it is odd he didn't apply any new tarrifs to Russia or North Korea?

Aaron, nope, you Trump, David Miller, Boiler, Charles, Brent and Tom enabled China to win with this entirely predictable result. So give yourself a pat on the back. Your team fought hard for that Chinese victory and you earned the win. And win you did as you get to pay 54% more for your next phone, TV, computer, home appliance and practically everything else.  So much winning for team Trump!

Russia already had sactions and tariffs in place.

Most of those other countries that received new tarrifs already had tarrifs in place.

Canada is reworking its trade relationships with EU and South AMerica too.     It shows how reckless this approach is.

Whatever revenue we get from tariffs is going to immediately go to farmers as welfare checks.  Nobody is going to be buying US soybeans.      They may not even plant this year.  We dont know what Canada is going with Potash yet.   THey could single handedly destroy or entire agriculture economy if they decided not to give us access to it.

So what? Our trade with Russia is negligible.

Iggo, you really should stop trying to defend the Turd. I know you're only here to start arguments, but you're sounding like a complete fucking idiot.

I'm not defending Trump.  Actually, this shakeup could be the dumbest play in the history of Trade.  But we don't know how it will actually resolve.  It might be brilliant, it might be stupid AF.  We'll have to see what happens.  In any case, the status quo was not working, might as well shake the tree and see what happens.  The whole market ponzi scheme was and still is the most massive generational bubble that is going to pop no matter who is in control, its just a matter of time.  There are too many hundreds of trillions in unfunded liabilities and derivatives for this to continue.

Anyway, Trump didn't start a tariff war, he just responded to the existing tariff war that's existed for generations versus the USA.
