Watching one of those Christmas specials is like slowly drowning in corn syrup.
The first, "Vacation", was the best IMO (Imogene Coca, so funny); "Vegas Vacation" would appeal mostly to anyone who has 'vacationed' and gambled in Las Vegas. I liked it; "European Vacation", predictable but some funny parts. "Christmas Vacation", OK but not great. Chevy Chase could make dry toast entertaining.
"Lethal Weapon" had good sequels, good cast.
"Rocky" and Rocky II I'll always watch. The rest, meh.
"Godfather" and G II, excellent. G III not so much but they pulled it off by not trying to make it a remake of the first two.
"Ocean's Eleven" sequels...all I can say is why? Leave perfection alone.
I'll put my food down on "A Christmas Story" sequel. Again, why tamper with perfection?
