Chuck Schumer Speaks, . . .

During a speech about the abortion case before the Supreme Court on Wednesday, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) stated to Supreme Court Justices Neil Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh:

"Now, we stand here today because behind me, inside the walls of this court, the Supreme Court is hearing arguments, as you know, for the first major abortion right cases since [Justice] Kavanaugh and [Justice] Gorsuch came to the bench. We know what’s at stake. Over the last three years, women’s reproductive rights have come under attack in a way we haven’t seen in modern history. From Louisiana, to Missouri, to Texas, Republican legislatures are waging a war on women, all women, and they’re taking away fundamental rights. I want to tell you, Gorsuch, I want to tell you, Kavanaugh, you have released the whirlwind and you will pay the price. You won’t know what hit you, if you go forward with these awful decisions.”

Aside from the fact he messed up the Biblical quote [ "Josea Chapter 8: For they have sown the wind, and they shall reap the whirlwind"],  umm. . . . is a US Senator threatening the US Supreme Court ?

This is like the "good ole days" when Congressmen would hit each other with their canes !

I truly admire the audacity of the Trump crowd.   They have no problem throwing rocks from their glass houses.

now they’re offended by threatening language from senior government officials.     Well bless their hearts!    

Yeah, this is bigly terrible, given that Trump and his administration have always scrupulously refrained from attacking, threatening, or insulting anybody.

I'm sure that, if I searched this board's archives, I could find multiple instances of DonDiego expressing his dismay and/or outrage at the incivility and threatening language of Trump and his allies toward their political opponents.

I'm so sure that DonDiego would NEVER be so hypocritical as to only express outrage at strong language uttered by Democrats that I'm not even going to check his posting history.

I cant wait for whats next.    Are they going to complain  about Mike Bloomberg not showing his tax returns?

No one needs to check to know that you are a raging hypocrite--it's obvious.

In order to be a Trumper, one must also be a hypocrite.

Does anyone even know what case Shumer is talking about that is before the Supreme Court?  (I know Kevin won't know).

The hypocracy on both side of the isle in politics is head spinning. Whats really amazing is the fact that the hypocrates keep inciting violence then claim its OK because the other hypocrate did the same thing. There is no doubt however that since the Trump adgenda is being implimented more and more, the democrates have ratcheted up the threats. It used to be that they would only disrupt a right wingers dinner or protest in front of their homes and buisnesses. Now there threatening to unleash the whirlwind.

Its a case in Louisiana that will make abortion clinics have admiting rights at local hospitals to provide treatment if something goes wrong. Anti abortion groups claim this is a saftey issue and protects the womens health. The pro choice side claims that since the abortion clinics cant afford it they will be forced to close which is what in effect the anti abortion side wants.
