People are adults and if they are to lazy to get an id that is their problem. As has been shown minimal number of people don't have an id and they are easlly obtained for those that need it. When finally pushed to the wall people finally got their Real Id drivers licenses.

Driver's licenses and state ID cards do not show citizenship status.

The poll workers who verify ballot signatures are in fact trained in handwriting recognition. And any ballot with a signature that is questioned is set aside for further scrutiny.

MAGA is against anything but in-person voting, because such a restriction depresses turnout.
Most states (I'd say "all" but I'm not certain) require proof of citizenship to register. So signatures are how ballots are verified. No need to impose additional requirements.
And we know that voter suppression is the only reason for MAGA's crusade.
