Congratulations To Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez For Her Upset Victory

Not that impressive of a video. The questions are asked in a misleading way often using the terms free or free stuff. We spend more on our current healthcare system than we would a socialized healthcare System. (According to the CBO) The idea that we need to come up with a way to pay for it is a false premise because it cost less money than we are currently paying.

Republicans pay for things by cutting taxes...,. George bush, Sam brownback, Donald trump

socialism looks infinitely more responsible by comparison.

"Republicans pay for things by cutting taxes" From the group that just blew thru $10 trillion.

"The questions are asked in a misleading way"  The questions were pretty straightforward, particularly when the followup question was - how to pay for it & nobody could answer it.  I was impressed with the idiot who used the term "economically conserved"

The next time the CBO gets a medical estimate correct will be their first time - so using their numbers is useless.

With 5% of the population using 50% of the medical resources, how will medicare for all (which is $40 trillion in the hole) be cheaper?

And Medicare is so great, but yet you have to buy a Medicare AAdvantage plan plus nursing home insurance to pay for all the bills that Medicare doesn't cover

They were pretty darn close on their Obamacare predictions.  You are already paying for the 5% that use up 50% of the resources. They either end up on Medicaid or using the emergency room.  Putting everyone in the same system actually saves quite a bit of money.  You eliminate the insurance companies altogether and the pharmacy benefits managers as they don't do anything but add cost to the system.  Medical service providers will be able to eliminate 90% of their billing staff and physicians wouldn't have to carry malpractice insurance or practice defensive medicine as they are always complaining about.

Once again Mark is wrong.  Most of the 5% are Medicare patients; who are part of the program that has a $40+ trillion unfunded deficit & the patients need to purchase 2 additional policies in order to have insurance for everything that Medicare doesn't cover?

Medicare/Medicaid has a 20% fraud rate

"physicians wouldn't have to carry malpractice insurance or practice defensive medicine as they are always complaining about. " - So in medicare for all nobody will sue doctors?

"Medical service providers will be able to eliminate 90% of their billing staff" - somebody will have to process the paperwork to get a Medicare reimbursement

The CBO said Obamacare would reduce the deficit.   Teabaggers said it would increase it.

The CBO said the Trump tax cuts would increase the deficit.   Tabaggers said it was deficit neutral.

Score:  CBO 2,  Teabggers 0

I'll listen to the non-partisan CBO over Tom any day.

An opinion piece based on FACTS. The UK has the lowest percapita number of doctors and hospital beds of any industrialized nation. Doctors and hospitals have to make a profit...a dirty word to socialists. Their government can't afford their NHS. You want that here. Your Koch bros piece fails to mention that the $32.6 trillion cost over 10 years is what would be ADDED to the federal budget...almost doubling what the budget is now.

How much would Ocasio-Cortez's call for "free" college add to the budget? Or her "free" housing for all? Or her guaranteed "free" minimum income for all? Or her guaranteed "jobs" for all?
