Congress should lead by example when government grinds to a halt

The requirement to vote should be the same getting on a plane

That makes zero sense. Children and  infants are allowed on planes. Non-citizens are allowed on planes.

Also if one doesn't have pre-check they have to get body scanned or a pat down to get on a plane.

So now you want people to have to go through security screening and pat downs to vote? That's absurd

Everybody going through screening to board has to get scanned (metal or body scanner), and if it beeps ya get a pat down.  Everybody.  Pre-check has nothing to do with that, you still go through scanning.  Just faster through the lines, that's all.

True I wasn't very clear. Everybody gets screened. If you have pre-check you usually go through the metal detector rather than the body scanner.

Sorry, but that isn't true either.  Everybody pretty much has a choice.  I prefer the metal detector.  BFF has an implant which requires her to go through the body scanner; otherwise she could do the metal detector.  Pre-check has nothing to do with it.  They ask if you have any metal parts before, or 'can you go through this one.'  Metal detector is usually faster, if you can do it.

Before one gets to screening, first they have to provide an id. No id then they don't have to go to screening; they go home.  I have never seen someone get up to the TSA agent without an id

All adults including non-citizens must have govt id inlcluding a foreign passport.

Numerous states already require an id, but the democrats have never been able to find 1 person who has been disenfranchised.

My experience has been that before I had pre check they offered me two screening choices. Body-scanner or pat down. Before getting pre-check my request to use the metal detector was denied.

After getting pre check they send me through the metal detector but also offer the body scanner as an alternative.

OK.  I've flown many many times.  The TSA agent could not care less which line I get into.  They might point one way or another as they hand me the pre-check laminated thing to give to the agent after I pass through either scanner (not at every airport, either).  I look at how many are loading the bins on the rollers with their stuff, try to ascertain which might be faster (some have 2 or more bins to fill, some with kids, etc) and choose one.  Once I get my purse(s) in the bin I look to be sure the metal detector one is open/being served and head for that one.  Again, the agent couldn't care less at that point which one I pass through.

Yeah but you have pre-check right? What if you didn't have pre-check? Generally the metal detector wouldn't be an option. Unless you have priority pass or some other program.

Don't worry, everyone. The whole system is being streamlined. Travelers will not be allowed to pass through TSA checkpoints unless they are wearing a) a Trump baseball cap ($55) b) a Trump T-shirt ($119) or c) a permanent TRUMP tattoo ($800) on their foreheads.

After passing this initial screening, no one will be allowed to proceed onward until they kneel before the ten-foot-high portrait of Trump and recite the Dear Leader Loyalty Pledge.

Immigrants (legal or not) will be summarily executed by samurai sword.

Yes, I have pre-check, but the agents managing traffic at the scanners work to move things along when folks don't seem to get where they are supposed to go.  I see/hear them asking people "can you go through?" referring to the metal detector which is a lot faster.

But you might be right.  Some day if the agents aren't that busy...not right now!...I'll ask somebody, though asking might make me suspect.   Hmm...better not....LOL
