Conservative activist Charlie Kirk is set to be honored Sunday at a massive public memorial service

When Paul Pelosi was attacked with a hammer by a politically motivated nut job this was Charlie Kirk;s response to the attacker.

"And why is he still in jail? Why has he not been bailed out? By the way, if some amazing patriot out there in San Francisco or the Bay Area wants to be a midterm hero, someone should go and bail this guy out"

This isnt "a different point of view"....or a "conservative take"...or an "alternate way of looking at things".   This is 100% pure assholery.   Any objective person can  see that  easily ...just like anyobjective person can see Kirk's assassination was abhorant.   And I'm sorry - thats light years worse than anything Kimmel said.

There's absolutely no excuse for Kirk's assassination and nobody should turn a blind eye to it.   But His horrible death doesnt white wash his legacy.  Make no mistake - Kirk was a bonafide asshole who got rich tapping into far right hate speech.

 As is typical for you PJ, you left out where he followed his comment with -"Kirk clarified that he wasn’t “qualifying” the attack. “I think it’s awful. It’s not right,” he said.

So he realized that what he said had crossed a line and he tried to weasel.
