Or about 7 years of worth of the budget impact from the Repulicans new tax law.    Who was the floozy who wrote and signed that into law?   And do you know any Floozies on this board who support that fiscally ridiculous legislation?

She claimed that the pentagon accounting errors were $5 tillion more than they spent & PJ doesn't understand why that is another one of her dumb statements.

The Washington Post Fact Checker summarizes Ms. Ocasio-Cortez's error succinctly:

"Let’s put $21 trillion in context. The entire national debt is $21.8 trillion. According to the Congressional Budget Office, total defense spending from 1998 to 2015 was nearly $9 trillion. The CBO estimates $7 trillion in defense spending from 2019 to 2028.

In other words, completely defunding the military for the next decade would yield only one-fifth of $32 trillion. That’s a much better way of illustrating the cost of Medicare-for-All."

The newspaper concludes the article by awarding Ms. Ocasio-Cortez 4 Pinnochios an award reserved for maximum falsehoods.

I just turned 29.” PHOTOG: “Happy birthday.” AOC: “Thank you! Thank you!” PHOTOG: “You can’t even run for president for another six years.” 

AOC: “No, not for a long time. Thank God. Although we’ve been joking that because the Equal Rights Amendment hasn’t been passed yet, the Constitution technically says he cannot run unless he’s 35. … So what we’ll do is we’ll force the Republican Party to pass the Equal Rights Amendment by threatening to run for president.”

Explanation:

AOC suggests the Constitution restricts only men ("he") to the requirement that they be 35 years old to be President.

So AOC will threaten to run for President before she is 35 to force Republicans to pass an Equal Rights Amendment.

In fact: The Constitution does not say “he”. It says “any person.”

n.b. It is noteworthy that although she is totally misinformed, her motivation is to "force" someone to do something by making threats.  This is a technique oft noted in Socialist Statists.
