The Cost of Ivy League Schooling at Brown

A school with a $100k tuition & an $$8b endowment is not underfunded. More of a case of misplaced priorities.

A key card system would have prevented this person's entry into the building.

A centralized computer video monitoring system would have alerted security when cameras were out.

It's painfully obvious that you've never even been near a university, let alone attended one. Campus buildings experience surges of traffic both in and out as class periods begin and end. Key card entry, which would have to be one at a time to have any meaning, would create massive bottlenecks at entryways and exits.

Universities prioritize their funding on education, not on turning their campuses into impenetrable fortresses.

Campus buildings experience surges of traffic both in and out as class periods begin and end.

Thats what is known as an office building as thousands of people enter and leave as the workday begins and ends.

Most students attend classes in the same building; business students go the business building, science students go to the science building etc.  So once they are in the building they are set.

NYC students have to go thru metal detectors without a problem.  Housands of people attend sporting events and concerts and have to go thru security, without a problem.

God, you're stupid. Universities have multiple class periods. And very few students stay in the same building all day. In an average student's day, there will be multiple entries and exits from several different buildings. It's not like a high-rise office building.

Stupid Tom.

The NYC board of Ed can do it   CUNY can do it

Fordham U in the middle of the Bx d CD an keep their campus secure.

Every organization in the country has been able to figure it out but Brown with $100k tuition & $8b in the bank can't.

An urban university sited in one or two adjacent office buildings will have far easier security than a university with its campus sprawling over several acres and dispersed among multiple discrete buildings. Using NYC as an example was a typical Tom lie.

Idiot Tom.

Fordham U had 85 acres & 42 buildings

Within a year brown will have dipped into their $8b savings account to fence in and have a high tech camera system

You are apparently too "stupid" to notice that Tom noted that Fordham U had secure cameras while Brown, with their 8 Billion nest egg have not instituted a high tech camera system. Stupid Kevin...

Fordham has 10 foot spiked fences with security guards at the gates plus patrols.

You can't enter the campus without id and an appointment.
