Cuomo

Well, we either have one standard: all sexual harrassment is a disqualifier from public office, which means Trump and Kavanaugh, as well as Cuomo, have to go, or another standard, which means that we consider the magnitude and context of the offense, as well as the credibility of the accuser(s).

People on both sides don't like Cuomo, which to me, makes the accusations against him a little bit less likely to be true. I'm sure that many people have it in for him and there are plenty of women who used to work for him who for fifty grand or so, just might be persuaded to testify in court that one day in the past, Cuomo might have whispered in her ear, "Nice perfume you're wearing." Lock him up!!!!

And just to be clear--the man is a jerkass. That's neither here nor there in the context of holding public office, especially when one of the biggest jerkasses (and sexual harrassers) to ever walk the earth recently held the highest office in the land.

Candy, I agree.  Cuomo my be an ass and may have done some things that he shouldn't have done, but many are making a bigger deal of such things than they deserve.  Aggressively tell the guy to stop, slap him if you must, and be done with it.

The pendulum has swung too far.

He is also under federal & state investigation for lying about the number of deaths due to his nursing home policy.

Cuomo should be grilled about this situation.  More importantly, he should be grilled for demanding and then ensuring that Covid positive seniors be sent back to old folks homes.  What a stupid idea that killed tens of thousands of people.

This is a topic which is largely ignored by our resident Liberals on this site.  They'd prefer that this topic and the dead be swept under the rug...............and you know who you are.

Who might those be?   I dont pledge alligence to anyone of any party.   And I dont play the "fake news" card anytime a politician from my side of the aisle engages in something unethical.    I fully support any and all investigations into Cuomo's actions and unlike the MAGA crowd on this board I wont cry about witch hunts and the liberal media.

But heres the thing - lets allow people who give a shit about deaths from COVID hold Cuomo accountable.   The people who dont wear masks, ridicule those who do, and railed against the economic restricitons put in place last year aren't allowed to judge the ethical lapses of others.   I would suggest you deal with your own first. 

While it may have been a hard choice and not necessarily the best one in hindsight, at the time, all the hospitals were full. Certainly, the opinions of our resident Trump-loving goobers on that decision, you included, Boilerman, mean less than nothing. You weren't there. You knew and know nothing about the situation.

Yeah, I always find it amusing when conservitards suddenly give a shit about Covid deaths, after a year of prancing around maskless and screaming at Trump's hate rallies! Boiler admits he doesn't wear a mask and continues to smoke in public. He is and has been a loyal Trump slave. Therefore, his so-called "concerns" mean less than nothing. Also, he says we won't discuss the topic he's obsessed with--which is true, except for our dozens of posts on the subject!!!

It's kind of nauseating to see and hear all this faux outrage about Cuomo when the acts committed by Trump and his various acolytes and lackeys were far, far worse---but conservitard Republiholes either said nothing, or actively clapped and cheered, as half a million people died from the Trump virus.

All this nonsense is obscuring the real crisis at hand, which is Republicans in 33 states attempting, and so far succeeding, to pass voter suppression laws. While we debate Cuomo's actions, the Republican traitors are ripping apart our democracy--because those whiny little bitches are throwing a tantrum about Trump's crushing defeat.

Hospitals were not full. There was a hospital ship as well as hospitals in the Javits Center, Westchester County Center as well as a tent facility in Central Park.  All were under utilized and were quickly shutdown. 

The latest uproar is that he deliberatly withheld the number of deaths from the state legislators, the state AG as well as the Feds. 

He also threatened a Democrat assemblyman. 

Yes, Tom, I'm glad that you've developed a sense of outrage at when politicians do the wrong thing; that was conspicuously absent from your posts during the Trump administration.

I might say that you're only outraged when Democrats do something wrong, but that would mean that your righteous indignation is fake and only motivated by Trump-love and partisan considerations. But of course, like Fox News, you're "fair and balanced."

How about contingency plans that other states set up to move old people into alternative sites..............like all of the empty schools that Cuomo cleared out in NYC?  Apparantly not one NY Liberal was bright enough to figure out that alternative?  There's certainly no old folks in Florida, after all.

Nope, Cuomo certainly wasn't smart enough.  Even after he was told a hundred times that he was going to kill thousands.

Kevin, to this date I've never heard you say a bad word about Cuomo's decision.  Why is that?
