Dang! I didn't think it was possible to dislike Trump even more

I agree with your statement here - It is a shame that our politicians, Dems and Reps, use us as pawns to effect their causes. Paralyzing our transportation systems is not in the best interest of their constituents. --  If you notice, the DemocRATs have a list of 10 demands - which were never considered as being needed in past administrations - and their list has nothing to do with the funding of DHS. This shutdown being implemented by the DemocRATs is strickly political with the desired effect to make the Trump Administration look as being the ones shutting down the government - just like Schumer did for 6 weeks last year. All the DemocRATs do is obstruct - they could not care less as to how it affects America and Americans.

Thank you, David.  You make well stated points.  Except that I lack your enthusiasm for President Trump at this juncture.  I'm astounded at the clearly self-serving appointments he has made in critical positions, most concerning is that of RFK Jr., obviously unqualified as overseer of the nation's health.  That and other s are being roundly criticised by true experts in the fields, and I am astounded that Trump seems unwilling to reconsider the wisdom of those appointments.  His hyper-narcissism frightens me.

Given time - and considering the group that had made up Biden's cabinet - you may want to reconsider your assessment of President Trump's cabinet. As far as RFK Jr. goes, so far I don't see any great missteps he has taken. Considering the years of personal attacks to President Trump, I am not surprised at the narcissism he sometimes shows, though I think he has modified that to a degree. A glad hander and ass kisser he isn't (like most politicians), at least you know where he stands and he does get things that he ran on done - though not all, yet, but he keeps trying. After this year ends, Americans will see and feel the great things he has set into motion as America heals and becomes great again. The naysayers tend to forget the 4 year mess he was given and they often don't have the understanding or patience needed as President Trump goes forth with his agenda. His job would be so much easier if the DemocRATs did not obstruct him each and every day. Tomorrow at the State of the Union address, I wonder just what the DemocRATs have cooked up for the address. More paddles, glum looks and dead pan expressions while sitting on their hands comes to mind.

The only qualification for Trump's Cabinet posts was/is absolute, slobbering fealty to him and a solemn pledge to do his bidding.

Not one of them is even remotely qualified. And people like RFKJ, when they achieve power, get people killed.

Miller thinks Trump can do no wrong, is a bigly genius, and has never lied, never made a mistake. That's simply ludicrous.

Kevin, this mini-discussion was between David and me.  He stated his case clearly without mentioning your name.

I'm sure if you tried to scold David for the same horrid crime of inserting himself into a discussion, he'd tell you that he has the same right as anyone else to post on an existing thread.

Except you wouldn't do that. You, amazingly, give him a free pass for everything.

I'm sorry for criticizing religion. That's the only possible explanation for your bias.

Kevin:  People are telling you to take your ball and go home.  Bad day today, buddy.

You can still communicate with me though.

Candy, not "people," wanted to exclude me from a thread.

I'll post whenever and wherever I want. Just like everyone else.

One thing about President Trump's cabinet is that they are all very good with the press.  I have never seen the level of communication that this cabinet supplies, regardless of if they are liked or not, they are not afraid to go before the public and give their side of what is happening
