The debate also harmed Trump

He showed himself to be a nasty, uncivil, uncouth asshole. In addition, he lied thrity times in that short space of time, and some were real whoppers.

In the midst of all this talk about Biden's fitness for office, there hasn't been much about how unfit Trump is for that same office. But the voters can see it.

If Trump hadn't behaved like--well, himself, he could have scored major points with the undecided voters. As it went, all he managed to do was get them to say, "Well, I'm not voting for THAT piece of shit."

The polls will reflect the damage done to both candidates, which is actually about equal, despite all the freakout about Biden.

Please produce the list of 30 lies you claim he made, including the "whoppers". Thank you.

Several fact check sites are available to you, but you don't really want an answer.

Yes I do. Produce the info, since you made the presently unfounded claims.

I made no such claims. I told you what has been found by various fact checkers. I didn't personally make a list, but many others did.

https://www.cnn.com/2024/06/27/politics/fact-checking-the-cnn-presidential-debate/index.html

I didn't bother to post this particular link, because I knew you'd react by saying that oh yeah CNN is just a left-wing liberal blah blah blah belch grunt snort and dismiss it out of hand. That's your immediate reaction now, right? Before even looking at the article?

But you should realize that MANY other sources have done fact-checking as well, and those sources include the BBC, Al-Jazeera, Der Spiegel (Germany), and Kyodo News (Japan). While they don't all agree on the number of lies made, they do agree on the general substance.

And before you dismiss the CNN article, you should know that according to them, Biden made nine misleading/false claims of his own. If you're objective, though--and I truly think you're incapable of that--you'll see that Biden's claims were more along the line of inaccuracies, while Trump's claims were mostly egregious "whoppers"--"the most/worst/best in the history of the universe blah blah" sort of shit.

I've done you the undeserved honor of talking to you like a rational adult and acceeding to your demand. Did it really make any difference, or are you just going to spout off another stupid little speechie and toss some more insults my way, as you always inevitably do?

He's right, David.  There were a ton of lies in there. (both ways but more with Trump as usual) Joe lies some and then gets confused with other stuff because he is losing his mind.  Trump mainly just lies.

And all it would have taken by Trump is to control his childish anger issues and show Joe to be lethagic (which isn't hard) and he could have made little digs in regards to Joe not knowing what he was talking about or meant.  Any average person could crush Joe in a debate right now but we have literally two of the worst candidates known to man up there.

It devolved into them lying about their golf games for God's sake.  I rest my case.

Please post the most glaring lies.

The golf discussion was childish.

It wasn't the amount of lies but the biggest lie of the last 4 years was the Biden gang, the democrats & the media saying that the videos were fake, the stumbles/fumbles/mumbles/blank stares & zone outs are not a symptom of mental competency.

The debate didn't hurt Trump at all.  He was the same as he's always been.  He actually didn't attack Joe as much as I thought he could have.

Agree.  Maybe Trump decided Biden has had enough...in fact, would score some points by 'backing down.'  Not toss a glass of water to a drowning man.
