The Debate

I actually stayed awake and watched it.

Glad I did, embarrassing as it was.

 - Poor Biden, they said he had a cold or something.  Clearly he did, which compounded his weak showing.  I thought he might fall down or have a stroke or something right there on TV.  I don't believe he can make another year, certainly not four more.  Line of succession  becomes important.  This is one thing that differentiates the US from other countries.  But I digress.

 - Trump showed his particular strength---showmanship; able to pull an answer out of his a** without having to try very hard, or just fillibuster until timed out.  Might be the tipping point, as someone already mentioned.

I remain conflicted, maybe more than ever.

Conflicted?? Would you really ever consider voting for the evil rapist traitor Trump?

I mean, yes, Biden may be failing (slowly), but he's still a vastly superior alternative to a man who says that the first thing he'll do is destroy our democracy!

No one likes a person who tells it like it is, especially if what they say is contrary to what one believes.  Your past posts have always been condescending, speculative and outright proclamations of forthcoming negative events that contain few facts and end up being nothing more than fearmongering and lies. The post that you made about a "Biden bump" did not say that you found it "shocking" and based upon your penchant to post negative postings about President Trump I thought that it was just another "in your face" post that was alluding to Biden actually doing well in the debate. Next time it would be nice if your post contained the reason for the post, if warranted.

What nasty David may not be capable of understanding is that Trump's torrent of lies and mean, nasty behavior may have done him more harm than Biden's verbal stumbles may have done to him. The public knew he was pulling every other statement directly out of his ass.

David admires that behavior; that's why he imitates it.

Do you know, by the way, that if Trump had remained civil, and even shown some sympathy for Biden rather than pitching gratuitous insults, he could have scored major points? But like David, he doesn't know how not to be nasty.

The "reason" for his post is that he wished to post it. Do YOU provide a "reason" for every one of your twenty daily posts, asshole?

Please list the proveable "torrent of lies" and examples of his nasty behavior - also a list of the statements he "pulled out of his ass".

And that isn't saying much.

Like the movie quote:  "With the rich and mighty, always a little patience."

I feel patience for Biden, but not as a POTUS for the next four years, him aging into memory fog.

How did we arrive at this, the worse [in different ways] of two choices, both with experience on the job?

As for Trump's moral turpitude problem, look back at JFK?  Even FDR.

Today both could be facing a judge and some "me too" women.

Rich and mighty, and/or morally corrupt or both.  That's what we have to choose from.

The hypocrisy of the DemocRats and their loyal lying liberal mouthpieces, the corrupt media, concerning the "moral turpitude" of President Trump is on display when one notes the "moral turpitude" of not only JFK but also Bill Clinton. Actually what you have to choose from is one man who loves America, the constitution and the conservative platform that America is built upon and a puppet who is being controlled by those who want America to embrace socialism while tearing apart the morals and ideaologies that made America the greatest nation in the world.

Nope. Candy, that's an escapist argument. They both suck, so what's the difference?

There's a huge difference. Wanna start with, one candidate's a criminal and the other isn't? And if you want to tell yourself that Trump didn't really "rape" anybody, well, then, fine, there's still all the various and sundry fraud and theft charges. Not to mention treasonous acts. There's no comparison between him and Biden.

You could also examine each candidate's repatedly expressed goals. What Biden wants to do is continue with the policies that have been enacted in the last three years. Trump wants to destroy large portions of the government and make himself a dictator with unlimited powers. He also intends to use the federal government as an instrument of revenge. See the, um, difference between the two?

And here's my final tiebreaker, something that may not matter to you but it does to me: Biden is a decent person. Trump is a complete asshole. I think that matters, and while many folks think that assholery is a strength in a crisis ("he's strong, ooooh"), I don't.

It's ultimately your choice, of course. But please don't make the mistake of considering it moot.

Yeah, how could I have forgotten Clinton?

What is it about Trump, what has he said and/or done, that makes you believe he "loves America" more than Biden loves America?  Truly.  I'm needing some help in this area.

That is an easy question to answer. Pre covid, how was America doing under President Trump? Here is a list of positive accomplishments  - https://trumpwhitehouse.archives.gov/trump-administration-accomplishments/  --- You have been living in/thru the last 3 1/2 years of the Biden administration - the list of negative, American hurting decisions is apparent, but here are the highlights (1) the illegal alien invasion, (2) the economy, (3) inflation, (4) energy costs, including gas prices, (4) sending Billions of tax payer dollars to the Ukraine while ignoring American homeless and veterans -- these are just a few of the things that have occured since 2020. If these things had of occured, (if President Trump were President), the DemocRats, the lying media, liberals, and the anti Trump morons that post here would be having a fit and demanding that President Trump be impeached. Now, looking at America since Biden took office - would you say that his actions were of a person who loves America and Americans?
