Decision 2020

The complete analysis of the 2020 Presidential Election:

Enter, Stage Center

Given the financial situation of the country I would think a Ross Perot type of platform would be welcomed.

I'll tell you from my own circles of progressives...its not happening with them.   They were open to centrism in 2016 but now they are pissed.    I would argue they have good reason to be after being pissed on by a government taken over by the Breitbart.com disciples.

A good soluition is not an equally polarized government from the left.   But that may be the response in 2020.

Trump is not moving to the center any time soon.   Lets see how the Republican establishment acts over the next year.     Democrats are going unapologitcally left.

The democrats that have made the assumptions of possibly running appear ready for promising free this free that! Why Harris even came out wanting to abolish the health care independent companies. Can one even imagine what a “government run” health care system would look like? Sorry, not me. Any thing they touch raises prices to you and I.

Free college to all! Let’s face the facts we don’t want just anybody that can possibly sign his name attending college. Why if your not paying for it appears closer to a 4 or 5 year “free party”! 2020 looks like a real “cluster” for both parties!

Yes, we would look like the rest of the first world rather than a barbaric 3rd world country where it is suvival of the fitest.

College doesn't have to be free but costs in 2019 dollars should be comparable to what they were in the late 60s and early 70s where a College aged kid could pay their yearly tuition and fees at a good State University with the income from a summer job.

I will be looking for a candidate who will address these top issues

- comprehensive immigration reform

- higher taxes on the wealthiest to fix the deficit

- enacting the social security solvency bill just passed by the house

- ending anti-democratic practices in elections:  Money, gerrymandering, disenfranchisement, 8 hour voting lines

" . . .  increases in financial aid in recent years have enabled colleges and universities blithely to raise their tuitions, confident that Federal loan subsidies would help cushion the increase,"

__ "The Bennett Hypothesis Turns 30,” published by the James G. Martin Center for Academic Renewal in December 2017.

In short, as the Federal Loans programs expanded dramatically after the 1970's the colleges were free to raise tuition and other "costs" simply becaue there is more money in the pipeline filling the colleges coffers.

Deep Red state, Tennessee, has already made your first two years of college free.   But because a Republican governor implemented it (and not a freshman Congresswoman from the Bronx ) the public has embraced the program.

tennessee’s Big, fat, socialist college program

its really not socialism tha5 Republicans have a problem with...it’s just Democrats

I tell people and kids that ask me don't go into debt for a four year degree. Join a trade union to learn a trade, do a two year degree where you will learn some kind of hands on skill or go to one of those reputable codeing bootcamps for 6 months. There are so many things besides a 4 year degree that will help an ambitious young person make a good living and not leave them with a ton of debt.

- comprehensive immigration reform - DO YOU MEAN A WALL

- higher taxes on the wealthiest to fix the deficit - YOU ARE ALREADY USING THE TAX INCREASE TO PAY FOR ALL THE SPENDING

- ending anti-democratic practices in elections:  Money, -WHAT?

gerrymandering, - LIKE WHAT THE DEMOCRATS DO?

disenfranchisement, - SUCH AS SAME REQUIREMENT AS THE CASINOS USE TO GET A FREE BUFFET?

8 hour voting line - CONTROLLED BY LOCAL DISTRICTS; SUCH AS THOSE CONTROLLED BY DEMOCRATS
