You didn't ask for specifics. You only asked which countries. And I didn't say they're "better"; I said, in answer to your question, closer to the ideals mentioned in the Declaration.

Try things like: when was slavery abolished, when was women's suffrage, and democratic representation. Look at stats (you LUVVVV Tom-stats) like life expectancy and per capita income. Read the constitutions of nations such as India and Japan that became full democracies (unlike us).

I'm sure you'll find some nonsense to twist and misread, or some outright falsehoods like that "free speech index." And as far as World Cup visitors are concerned: a good place to visit isn't necessarily a good place to live, and vice versa.

But the topic was about how well the US has followed its own founding documents and the principles therein. How orgasmic World Cup fans find the US isn't relevant to the discussion.

There's a bit of selectivity there, in that do you really think if a visitor responded, "Meh, I'm just here to see the World Cup" or "This country sucks, but I have to be here because I work for my country's team," that would make it into the YouTube video?

We get basically one kind of international visitor up here in the PNW: Canadians. And they love to come here. As we love to go there. But I've heard that same thing from Canadians: they wouldn't want to live here, because they find our healthcare system appalling, the proportion of MAGAs shocking, and the gun love culture disturbing, Canada has tremendous quality of life AND complete adherence to its founding principles. We could learn from them.

I see a pattern..

Surprised that one in six people still have confidence in the Turd. I have confidence that he'll continue to violate the Constitution, steal money, and fight unlawful wars. But that's probably not what they asked for in those polls.

Like the Canadians I've talked to, Europeans are smart enough to realize the difference between Trump and America; like us, they love the latter but loathe the former.

In every global ranking on economics, freedoms etc the USA is the only country that consistently ranks near the top.

Where is there a scientific measure of freedom? Do you think that, for instance, Canada, England, and Western Europe rank below America? And who determines that?

There are a number of studies on the subject, but as usual the facts dispute your warped view of the world so as usual they don't count.
