No.   Thats not accurate.   Deep Seek is open source.   AMerican tech firms have already looked at the code and confirmed it does what it claims with the reported use of lesser chips.

The good news is its not a threat to the US.   Thats because it is open Source.  Google and Microsoft can throw out their models tomorrow and start using their own version of DeepSeek if they want to.   They dont.

Washington Post - Bezos pulled the endorsement of Harris by the editorial staff and said he believes the job of the paper is to be neutral even though he was  talking about the editorial opinion staff, not the hard news staff. After his statment of neutrality, he gave Trump a million dollars and sat in the front row at Trump's inauguration.  Like the owner of the LA Times Bezo's is dependent on the Government to keep his other businesses afloat.

New York Times - Paul Krugman among other Times staff said in the last year or so the management began rewriting significant portions of editorial pieces to make them more favorable to Trump and less favorable to Biden. Many have since left.

CNN - Was purchased by a conservative oligarch a few years ago. The first thing he did was hold a big powwow with conservative members of Congress to ask how CNN could better serve them. Now Trump apparently has the power to fire any CNN journalist that he doesn't like.

MSNBC - Is being spun off to insulate their parent company from reprisals by the Trump administration.

ABC - Settled a lawsuit with Trump that they had no chance of losing for truthfully stating a jury found that Trump committed sexual assault and that the Judge in the case ruled  that it is right to colloquially say Trump raped his victim in light of that jury's verdict. How many MSM news folks are going to talk truthfully about Trump sexually assaulting women now?

Twitter/X - Was bought and turned into a non-profit conservative propaganda machine. Say nice things about Trump and Elon and your posts will get a boost. Say bad things about Trump and Elon and  your posts will end up in the basement where nobody will see them.  If you say enough nice things about Trump and Elon or enough bad things about liberals you will be promoted where your posts will be forced upon those who have no interest in seeing them.

Facebook/Instagram - Zuck gave Trump a million dollars for his inauguration and sat in the front row. He promised to never fact check Trump. And now he's giving him another $30 million to settle a lawsuit that Trump had no chance of winning.

Tik Tok - Trump has reserved the right to pick the next owner of Tik Tok which will obviously be another conservative oligarch that converts it into a conservative propaganda machine.
