To recap the party that claims it wants to save democracy
1- Kept biden's obvious mental decline minimized by having him make minimal public appearances, many hidden vacations at the beach, not making him available for press conferences & not answering questions after his infrequent public announcements
2- Refused to have debates during its primaries
3- Squeezed out any potential competitors to biden
4- When it was obvious biden was going to lose, push him to the side & declare giggles the winner even though she has never received a single vote for the nomination in 8 years.
Your points #'s 2 and 3, are pretty much every incumbent presidential candidate in the last 100 years. Number 4 is a matter of perspective, was he pushed aside for the good of the country and party? Yes say the libs, No say the MAGAs(it is funny how MAGA was outraged he was running again until he quit running and that pissed them off even more). Also, up until 1968, the party picked the presidential candidate, so there is historical precedence for that. Even today some states caucus, where a much smaller number of party members choose a candidate and some states use a primary system. The states that use a caucus tend to run conservatively:
Alaska, Hawaii, Idaho, Iowa, Missouri (Republican party only), Nevada (Republican party only), North Dakota (Republican party only), Utah (Republican party only), and Wyoming.
